Happy Anniversary6 Feb 2021 23:49
I thought I'd afford myself a new thread to recognise my first anniversary as a Hemogenyx shareholder. (its actually 3mths away, but its lockdown and I celebrating early)
Where did it all start?
I did not get in at sub 3 or 4p . HEMO only hit my radar after the spike in April 2020. I first dipped my toe in with about £900 worth at 9.5p, and quickly averaged down with subsequent tranches at 7.5 and sub 7p. I have to be honest, I was not hugely researched at that stage, but did take an instant liking to the Hemo story and enjoyed Vlad's updates.
Have i made any money yet?
Yes, I built a modest investment for me (c£5-10k) and took some profits when it spiked on 2 occasions.
However, I do regard myself as someone who is here for the long term and always planned to buiild back my holding.
As it as worked out, i have been buying on the way down from 12p to sub 7p and now have more than 1m shares.
Why am I invested?
I believe in the cause - and understand the huge market opportunity. (My first wife died of AML, and I have a close family member with Lupus)
I believe in Vlad and the talented team at Hemogenyx. In Sir Marc they also have someone who has been there and bought the T-Shirt.
Hemo are partnering with the best - Eli Lilly, J&J, Orgenisis, Penn University
They have a great recent track record of achiveving so much, with so little.
They have multiple bets - if any of them come off we'll see the SP at multiples of today's price. The three most exciting to me are:
- CDX (Big chance of deal with Global Co)
- CAR T - moving into trials in collaboration with Penn University, one of the worl leaders in bring this new Biotech to market.
- CBR - Vlad and team are looking at accelerating the next phase here. To quote the RNS on 18th November 2020: "the Directors are not aware of any direct competitor for this product candidate at this time. Hemogenyx Pharmaceuticals is engaged in pre-clinical validation of two CBR-based potential product candidates: one for the treatment of COVID-19, and the other for the treatment of an undisclosed type of cancer."
Fully Funded... The fantasic recent news that Hemogenyx has secured a massive, game changing £60m funding facility is huge. This means there will be no placings in the medium term, and gives Hemogenyx the funding they need to hit the big time. In the short term, it will play a signifcant role in ensuring they secure a more favouable commercial deal if they choose to with a Global Co partner.
Highlights
I've enjoyed getting to know some other Hemogenyx holders who have been hugely supportive and fun. Its a nice community to enjoy the highs, and help support each other through the lows
