RE: Many buys still marked as sells9 Mar 2023 14:07
Mr India - your post is very misleading
The SP went from 1.1p to 14p in FY20- that is a phenomenal performance
I myself did very well in 2020
LTHs will have paid 2-3p for their shares - they had almost 1 year to take significant profits between 2020 and 2021
**** can happen - we were all very confident that their could be a deal on CDX - it did not happen. We have to accept that.
Investors in companies this size have to be aware of the regular need to raise - most Biotechs do not generate revenue. Success for Biotechs is usually being bought up or partnered by a deep pocketed Pharma who fund the trials through upfront payments.
Savvy, experienced investors will have de-risked an any point when the SP was between 100% and 1000% up (depending on their entry point). The Mint episode did not turn out well, but the company was always going to need significant funding when the opportunity to address cashflow through a CDX upfront payment did not materialise.
All investors need to have a clear exit plan - even loyal long term holders. Biotech, like mining and many other sectors can be a bumpy, volatile ride. As JHFH as previously posted, HEMO is at a great point for investments as the next 12-18mths is relatively low risk. Risk gets higher in latter trials OR much sooner in the development journey which Hemo have now passed. Hemo are not a one trick pony, and have multiple routed to the clinic.
