RE: Revised thinking on JR17 May 2023 19:22
Mantanya100 - What facilities do HARL currently have for gas storage? Even if the JR is positive it will be around 5 years before the caverns would be available for storage, JW said 'it's a shovel ready project' and that's all it currently is.
To be honest it probably has more use to store Hydrogen as the UK intends to be fossil free for energy production by 2035. Hydrogen storage though would mean another application or licence approval & that may mean another trawl through the courts.
Not too sure about what monies are coming in that HARL have to spend over and above wage bills and keeping the lights on, let's wait and see what the year end results for 2022 are when they are announced, I suspect a very large negative figure.
The finance is crucial to the future of the company and the longer it drags on the lower the share price will drift, forget all the hot air about getting the best deal, the credit providers are pulling all the strings and will dictate the terms and probably more share dilution if warrants are attached.
The key part to the FSS contract is to train up 1,000 welders in 2 years, Navantia are getting the ball rolling with some being trained in Cadiz, but it is one big ask to source that number in Belfast & Appledore.
My usual negative take on things, but this is still a very small value company that is eating money and not likely to be profitable for the foreseeable future, it spooks large investors who can comfortably get more reward in better qualified companies, it is an AIM stock after all.
