Totally agree with previous posts there are exciting times ahead for the company.

Trade went through late morning for less than the bid price, think the ship is currently floundering, not quite sinking though.

I watched the car crash of McColls shares recently, HARL is heading the same way, it's being set up for new owners when it falls into administration. Until the accounts are signed off the company has no shareholder value.
JW & Arun will be rescued by the infamous RNLI lifeboat and sail off with their swag.

The corporate debt facility that was announced in March is secured against company land, property, plant and machinery and receivables, surely the Infrastructure Bank will not provide money against an asset that is hocked to Riverstone Credit Partners.

Good point Stokey, also worth noting it may lead to a united Ireland, the SNP in Scotland is hoping for independence so HARL could be split into operating in three countries. Makes you wonder if the master plan is to split HARL up into three distinct companies - renewables fabrication in Scotland, boat repairs (hopefully boat building as well) in Ireland and fabrication & boat repairs in England and sell them. Put IslandMagee into the mix and HARL is probably worth more being broken up. Time will tell.

Just read McColl's the convenience store is on the brink of collapse, apparently it is having problems signing it's accounts off. Possibly Harl are in the same boat (pun intended) at the moment?

I don't think any attempt at ramping the share price will work with HARL investors. I used to look forward to your posts Lottie, really informative, nowadays a touch of desperation is creeping in.

If there are 31 productions starting next week what have they been working on since the IPO in January? Hope it's not been 4 months of nothing.

This investment was in March 2021 as part of a 6.5m placing / fund raise. Your post could misconstrue the date of investment for March 2022.

I would imagine it is referring to the Nigg Offshore Wind manufacturing facility currently under construction.

Surely this is not good news for ADF as their facilities will not be used as much.

Bubble2021 - I had the same thought last November, added more shares at the placing and watched the value drain away over the next few weeks. I would hang fire purchasing anymore shares until BIG CONTRACTS have been exchanged. Or maybe your comment was just 'tongue in cheek'?

Interesting information Lottie123, however, I'm more concerned the share price is down by 6.01% YTD & 56.77% over 1 year (figures from London Stock Exchange). It does not inspire confidence the company is going to reverse such poor returns overnight. To be honest this is probably the reason the long awaited contracts have not been awarded, companies will need confidence in HARL as a long term company regardless of the debt facility now in place. They did not do themselves (or shareholders) any favours with the dodgy RNLI RNS, terribly poor performance on the PR front. Let's be honest would you be happy giving a ship build contract to HARL?
Sorry to be negative, I would love the company to flourish, but it seems to be one step forward and two or three back.

I hope news on the contracts is positive and soon, however, it is not up to the government to support HARL with a contract using taxpayers money when overseas yards are more competitive. Given the current state of UK borrowings any contract should go to the most competitive bid.
The Scottish government recently awarded contracts to a yard in Turkey for 2 CalMac ferries, it didn't go down well at the Ferguson yard in Glasgow, but balancing the books with public finance is equally as important.
Nothing at all stop HARL getting a UK shipbuild contract and sub-contracting some of the work to an overseas yard, maybe a stipulation would be the work has to be done in the UK?

The last RNS HARL released for a contract win was on 11th November 2021 for a £2 million steel pontoon. I really hope a substantial ship building contract is awarded soon, however, HARL has no recent history of building a ship - the last being an MOD ferry the 'Anvil Point' in Belfast in 2003. What qualities does HARL have over other UK ship builders that will award them a major contract?

Totally agree with the lies statement, probably accounts for the share price falling by 50% since the last placing was announced. I admire the long term holders, you deserve much better.

Thanks for the useful information. I'm a new shareholder, I based my investment on the knowledgeable friendly postings on here, along with a broker recommendation. Looking forward to a positive RNS soon for first gas.

HARL has gone in reverse since the last placing, feel sorry for the long term shareholders who deserve so much better from the company. Investing in HARL now is a very speculative punt, there are much better managed companies to invest in if you have spare cash. JW has been reckless in his stewardship of the company, hence why I no longer have an investment in HARL.
I would dearly love to support the local workforce in Arnish again but without any positive news and BIG EARNING contracts I for sure will not be investing any time soon.
As an aside, Arnish is relatively easy to get to for the roadshows, regular Loganair flights from Glasgow to Stornoway. Come and enjoy the beautiful Outer Hebrides.

Thanks OT appreciate the info - The Comhairle are quite forward thinking even onboard with plans to convert the Stornoway gas supply to Hydrogen and local industry as well.
