I remember just under a year ago, 8th November 2021 to be exact, when the RNS for the Marine Licence was issued & the RNS for the RNLI Framework Agreement was also issued, the future for HARL looked rosy. You would have expected the company to be rolling along, contracts every other month, no need for financial aid from Riverstone, but where are they, in deep s*** with the share price at pretty much a record low and JW still spouting his ramping thoughts. The next big contract - if it arrives - will lift the share price into the mid teens and then be decimated by a very low placing just like 22 November 2021, nothing changes here, just the fat cats taking the cream and the share holder having value wiped away.

The deepwater terminal is also to enable cruise ships to dock at Stornoway, they currently dock out at sea and passengers (rich tourists) visiting Stornoway are shipped ashore. Believe me they certainly add to the local economy when they visit.
Heard the statement today regarding the SNP not helping BiFab at Arnish & Methil at the time they needed financial assistance and leaving it to the 'venture capitalists' to save the company. It's currently looking like Riverstone will be the new owners.

Listing on the FTSE 250 would move the share price in a positive direction, it was mentioned last week and the high cost involved apparently, SQZ have the funds at the moment to do it, the share would have a wider appeal to investors. Can only be a good thing in my opinion.

Citywire have a very useful explanation of the infrastructure funds loss in value - it's all to do with discount rates for the funds and the rise in gilt yields.

Manofnomeans Fri 19:48 - Chuffed that you think I may be in a position to short the share price, I doubt my small holding (now sold) had even a blip on the share price.
The share price has another cloud on the horizon and that is the Canadian placing shares that could not be sold for four months & a day (from July 5th 2022) will be traded from November 7th (6th is a Sunday)and that may well limit the share price moving ahead even if the market conditions have improved and the results from the drills are positive.

Sorry can't agree the share price is nothing to do with the company, acknowledge oil / gas producers generally down, but a 35% fall in share price from earlier high takes some explaining. There was mention of the raise for acquisitions, it has gone very quiet though.

Babeinthewoods - I have to agree with you, I invested earlier in the year long before the 'corporate mugging' and saw the share price reach the ramped price of 89p. I was taken in by the promise of big returns. Sadly the share price has little recovered from the raise.
I lost confidence with the management and sold out for 67p last week. I don't have any regrets, my latest investment is showing a better return already.

The spread and illiquidity of the share is a big issue. I needed to sell a few awhile back, it was a big struggle to be honest, I had to pay telephone rates with my broker to get a sale, quite costly.
I won't be purchasing more until a positive RNS along with substantial buys by the board.

I have purchased more shares this week with a view to keeping my 'round number' of shares after the consolidation has happened. It will also give me a small increase on the dividend / special dividend payment.
30th August looks to be an interesting day, hoping the share price moves up nicely.

Just been listening to Radio 2, it appears another windfall tax may be imminent to help with energy bills, probably why the share price has dipped. Labour's plans for another windfall tax on the North Sea producers seem to have approval from the electorate, won't be long before Truss / Sunak come up with the same idea for Tory policy.

The record date for the special dividend is the same as the interim dividend 26th August, so should be based on current holding.

Hedgehog100, it would certainly give a vote of confidence in the company if the directors purchase shares.
The first trade today was a purchase by me - showing as a sell - I read through the final results again at the weekend and feel the company can still get back to profit within the next financial year with their portfolio of products. I hope my confidence in the company is not wrong. The next 6 - 12 months will be interesting indeed.

I do wonder if certain posters were on a commission to inflate the share place ready for the placing, seems all too convenient in hindsight.

RNS just released regarding accounts, expected by end September.
Strange how other companies do not have problems releasing accounts on time with no extension needed.

Thanks Harry, I'm afraid the lack of communication from the company stops me from increasing my shareholding. Let's hope they take note of your comments.

Sold all my shares (again), definitely won't be back for any more, no smoke without fire in this company, lurches from one calamity to another without any thought for the poor shareholder.
Understand if you hold shares for sentimental reasons (which I did, living near to Arnish) it's not an investable company at the moment. AIM shares are a gamble, we all know that, but HARL is just flogging a dead horse, there are much better run and profitable AIM companies to invest in.

I have been expecting a trading update this month, I hope the massive fall in share price today is not related to a poor update when it is announced and just to a 'bad stock market day'.

Think I will ignore your post and wait for company confirmation!!! You predicted a 9p dividend which was an obvious ramp to the share price.
I remain invested in the company, but think they will struggle short term with fuel and interest prices going north.

Hebrides News are running a story about a new low emissions ferry for South Uist (maybe someone will post the link).
The 8 month design consultancy will start in July with shipyards invited to tender on a fixed price build at a later date.
Maybe a good opportunity for HARL.

I was at Lochmaddy pier yesterday having a look at the pier renovations, all looking good, it's primarily for the new CalMac ferry being built at Ferguson's, but also a larger car park is being constructed.
Uig pier on the Isle Of Skye is having similar work done from October through to March 2023 and will be closed to traffic. The alternative crossing for anyone thing of visiting Uist is from Ullapool, quite a detour.
CalMac have had very poor press this year with ferries breaking down, some are approaching 40 years old, well past the 25 year lifespan they were designed for.
I have taken a small shareholding again in HARL, hoping for some positive news soon.
