Given his recent advice to expect nothing from ANGS, it's almost as if ED knows there'll be no meaningful update forthcoming and is trying to soften PIs up for such a disappointment? Anyhow, ED says:-

"...they will never meet any dates they set, BUT will eventually get to First Gas. When? Different question..."

All well and good, except for one rather important thing. There's a couple of nasty ticking clocks unavoidably in play. So ANGS definitively has NOT got the luxury of "as long as it takes" to get to first gas (and from then on to consistent monthly production).

First, it has significant debt funding repayments to make (the £12m is an amortising loan, so these will involve repayment of both interest and capital) - so it (duh!) needs to generate sufficient revenues in time to cover these plus its standard costs. Second, it has to deliver against the hedge it signed up to - so it (again duh!) needs to generate sufficient ?production volumes of gas in time to fulfil those commitments.

Both of those alarm clocks start ringing come July next year. Therefore ANGS finds itself in a time-critical window of opportunity that is shrinking every day that passes - hence investor nervousness at ongoing missed schedules and anger at radio silence. Both entirely justified.

The same old question therefore still applies... how much gas and by when? Any chance of being transparent on this for a change, George?

Despite the endless claims from the cheerleaders that those of a more negative opinion must either be evil shorters, XR swampies or furious locals, that's just not the case. That's just an attempt by the ramptastic squad to discredit those of a more realistic opinion.

Well, here's shock news (not). I (and I bet pretty much all of those with more negative views) do not want ANGS to fail.

However, what I categorically DO want is for ANGS to start telling the truth. And as it knows it. If it started to do that, there would be a whole lot less anger at the company. .. and it might even start to repair its threadbare credibility.

It's hardly rocket science - and surely not too much to expect by those who have been entirely funding the company over its last 19+ months of zero revenue generation. Regardless, radio silence is NOT an acceptable option.

Another libel, NeoGeo? On top of your fairytale that this is "guaranteed" and "cannot fail"? Be careful... your blatant dishonesty is becoming ever more visible.

PS and of course Crocqman is as ever the voice of reason. Nothing is nailed on (when is it ever?) and pretending that it is, is pure dishonesty looking to dupe the unwary - or at best arrant stupidity.

Interestingly, accusing someone of libel where there is none can in and of itself be seen as the commission of a libel, so do tread with care. Mind you, your claim that I get paid to comment is a blatant lie, so I doubt that being honest much concerns you.

I'm really not sure it's worth mentioning ANGS's target dates (it makes one looks like an idiot( because - and let's be honest - there have been so many that have gone by with nothing happening.

First gas by Valentine's day? Not even their own commissioned CPR agrees with that one. Anyhow, I'm more interested in there being now less than 22 working days until promised sidetrack drill start - and there's still next to no equipment on site or the necessary groundworks completed.

Those figures entirely depend how much credibility anyone ascribes to ANGS-issued production forecasts and ANGS-issued timescales.

I would suggest that the market ascribes very little credibility (unsurprisingly, given ANGS's lamentable track record of never delivering on what it has variously assured) and is instead waiting for independently verified proof of the pudding.

The problem is, even if ANGS does come up with some cobbled-together re-re-re-re-re-re-revised plan by close of business tomorrow, as you, I and every other long-term ANGS watcher knows, it won't be worth the paper it's written on. ANGS hasn't hit one single schedule it's announced. Ever. And it doesn't seem to give a damn, instead just kicking the can further down the road with updated schedules whenever it can be bothered to issue any.

What I find mildly noteworthy is that this morning ED (who to all intents and purposes is George's mini-me) states:-

"Also I expect the plan or schedule to not materialise."

Bracing us for no news yet again, apparently... and I suspect he'd know.

Yanis (as I know you know already) please don't pay the slightest attention to anything assured, promised or predicted by ANGS, whether in an RNS, or on their website or anywhere else.

Yes. We have in mind a further presentation THIS MONTH on precisely this level of detail with a list of all suppliers and their best estimates of timelines etc.

So, given ANGS issued its answer above in mid October, there's yet another something it "had in mind" that entirely failed to happen in the promised timescale - and still hasn't materialised either. How typical.

It is of course true... Nom doesn't represent Angus Energy. Yanis, as James2nd has said, the core problem is ANGS's entire lack of transparency. They announce a schedule, then let it slide by without saying a word - despite the fact that they must know in advance that an announced schedule is going to slip.

If you're going to tell people (via RNS) that groundworks are starting in Sept... and they don't (for whatever reason), then update those who are paying your salary as soon as you know that schedule is going to be missed. The exact same thing with equipment arrival on site. Don't tell everyone (via RNS) that equipment's going to be on site in Oct, then say literally nothing more until 25th Nov, at which point tweeting some pix of just the first element arriving is simply not good enough.

And where's the promised Nov update? And why does ANGS keep needing to be pressed to supply updates, given the time-critical situation it finds itself in?

What ANGS needs to be above all else is honest and transparent with those it needs to fund it. And it simply isn't being. This is just not right, especially since delivering a sufficient quantity of gas out of Sfby in an ever-shrinking timeframe is literally a matter of continuing existence or not for the company, IMO.

Yanis, unless someone's got insider knowledge (always possible), I suspect today's drop has little to do with ANGS.

The overall market is shaky today re the new Covid variant... plus unless any new categoric bad news is issued (like a new and more realistic schedule showing yet more slippage, for example), the market is already ascribing next to no credibility/value to ANGS and its various projections and assurances, so it's hard to imagine what could take the SP down significantly further at this precise point.
