Compared to the RI buy price of approx £4.88 - £5.10, I think I will be taking up all my rights and sitting tight. This should recover quickly back to TERP value and over next few months even higher as the travel industry is recovering nicely.

It's crazy how the MM don't protect the SP at all and make the RI offer almost worthless because everyone can get the same price on the open market eventually. Lesson learned, any time a company mentions a placing or a rights issue, sell out immediately and sit on the sidelines to buy in later when once the new shares have hit the market, then buy back in far cheaper !

For those only who hold the rights, If you sell up your normal shares today, hold as cash, you can then choose to buy back through the rights at approx £5 so will gain slightly more shares than you have now, but if the normal share price keeps tumbling as more do this, we could end up seeing the SP go below the RI price of £5, at which point you might as well buy back on the normal open market.

We've all been rinsed, but if you buy back at the TERP 40% reduced RI price of approx £5, they should very quickly recover back up to the TERP of approx 850 and beyond. GLA

Agree CWWX, I've seen it happen too many times before. This will drift down to the RI price of around £5 slowly over next week or so, but after this RI is over by end of end April through May the SP should massive bounce back to the TERP value which I've calculated to be around 850.

I suspect more & more holders of the rights like me will keep selling out their normal shares, and hold as cash ready to buy back through the rights issue for approx £5 because it buy us back more shares for the same cash cost of the normal shares sold.
Fully expect this to slide down closer to £5 mark as MM milk this, but it should bounce back up very hard and fast after April to TERP value which I calculated to be around 850. Good luck all.

I have 239 ordinary shares, plus rights issue. I could sell all my 239 shares today to get cash, and buy back through the rights issue and end up with 306 shares instead at the rights issue price of £5.10. Why wouldn't everyone sell up ordinary shares to get the rights shares to increase their share holding ?

I see my rights on HL account now listed as TUIB. Can't by more just yet though.

There's gotta be some idiots out there selling because they think it's made a massive jump, and not realising it's a consolidation. LOL

Oh dear, they are basically preempting bankruptcy later this year if they carry on as is, and are scrambling to get some value for shareholders while they still can.

I'm out now, taken what little holding I had, as there are far better opportunities right now to move that money into than PURP which is now very high risk.

Sounds like a win-win for shareholders with this new growth incentive plan. It stops the directors getting bonuses for other arbitrary targets that have no meaning or positive impact for shareholders with the share price. This new deal is great for us holders. It's a little odd they didn't consider sacking any clear underperforming directors though, but that's complex, and maybe we will see some dead wood disappear in the next few months to help further with their plans.

Just a short pause, but given current global sentiment and the over done doom & gloom not expected to be anywhere near as bad, and massive numbers returning to holidays, this could easily rise another 30-50% over the coming weeks or few months.

Just to add some perspective to potential buyers here. When the pandemic hit and the world economy shutdown with no end in sight this share hit a low of 1195, yet here we are today at 800. There can't be be that many sellers left after 2 years of doom & gloom, so the shorters really are going to burn over the next 6-12 months for sure.

I guess a few have sold here for a little profit, and others for a little play on BOO today following their trading update.

When the world was ending in 2020 it hit a low SP of 181, yet it's up 35% on that year, and we are sat at SP of 48. Don't seem right to me. Being artificially held down it seems. Any care to add to this ?

From 7000 to 700 we have seen a 90% drop but it takes 10 time that at 900% increase to get back to there. The shorters have contributed to that drop maybe by 10% so getting back to 1400 at 100% Is not unrealistic.
