So what’s wrong with a little ramping it’s certainly justified given that we have come a long way from where we were a couple of weeks ago and just think of where we are heading in the next few months. I’m expecting a good run as soon as we get the go ahead from Hasina and her government, which can’t be that far away. Share of the year, possibly more.
You certainly wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend now would you, only a fool or a trader would risk that. The game is definitely hotting up and many will benefit especially those in Bangladesh and the wise ones on here.
So glad that I sold out my holding at 28.5 p and 42p respectively. I was thinking of coming back in a couple of weeks ago, glad I held off now, but at these prices I think that they are a no brainier now. Expect to see more interest in the coming days/weeks, just need for these to settle down a bit.
Would like to add my thanks to Searcher and Pappiklon, who have both done a sterling job keeping investors informed. Just a shame that they have had to put up with all the other idiots on this board. I would also like to give Mr Wise Owl a mention who has been a major contributor to this board, let's all give them a virtual round of applause.
YKIR, I wouldn't have classed you as a naysayer either, well not at the moment, you normally seem quite a balanced viewpoint and long may that continue. I try to do a similar thing, although I do sometimes can get a bit carried away. Just looking forward to getting this done, as I am in advancing years and would like to have the time to enjoy the money.
I see that the naysayers are out in force today, must be something is about to happen, who knows? Invariably that seems to happen, maybe the naysayers should use their information available to them to make some profits. But that said it always makes me even more cheerful knowing what's going to happen.
With all of the debt in the country it does make me wonder if we do get the go ahead from Hasina, what is the likelihood of getting paid for the coal mining if other companies in the power generation industry are still waiting for payment? It does make me a little nervous that others are still waiting for payment after a couple of years.
That's interesting DJM27 your background is in farming and mine is in mechanical engineering, both of which aren't a million miles away from mining. I have to agree with you that open cast mining is the way forward for both Bangladesh and GCM its not only cheaper, quicker and more efficient but it gives many advantages to the Bangladeshi people to get their economies on a firmer footing, growth is essential to this country.
Regarding the overburden at Phulbari I agree that it may present a challenge to clear the area using electric powered mining equipment, but I think that it could and would be done in the conventional way, it's a bit like power generation arguement no one solution fits all, so compromise is always on the agenda.
DJM27 I wasn't suggesting that we use fully electric draglines. What I was saying in relation to your statement about using electric vehicles for mining was that I think that is entirely possible to use electric powered mining equipment without any major problems. I was merely trying to say that electric powered mining equipment was now being used to good effect in different parts of the world without any problems.
Absolutely Searcher I'd forgotten about the Solar Project, I am not sure whether Bangladesh has a wind power project as well, if they have then maybe that could also be a net contributor to the mining industry. If not there is also the generator option if push comes to shove, if they need to use the power generated to power the rest of the country
I share your concerns about charging, but as I said that could be overcome in the short term by using generators. I know it's not ideal but it would only be a short term measure and the longer term gains are there for all to see, for that reason I really don't see it being a problem.
DJM27 you have said that the size of equipment for open cast mining can never be electrically powered? I think that you will find that it is already in use in Russia, Eurasia mining are using electric powered draglines for open cast mining and I'm sure that they would use more power than dumpers that you have mentioned. So I can't see any other reason for not using electric power vehicles other than charging issues, which I'm sure can be overcome.
Bangla, I'm not sure that I would want the share price to go up too much before the 6th of April, that would help me to get the rest of my shares into my ISA. I know that sounds a bit selfish, but I'm not the only one, there are several on here that have eluded to those thoughts.
