Good comments Mr WOS, but I think that you are fighting a losing battle with Mr Earl, sometimes you can't advise those that can't see the wood from the trees. Good luck with your other main investment, I'm also in the same one, should be a good year for us.
if you are going to sack the ceo then you must have a replacement in mind? i would like to volunteer for the post as i am now retired and would have the time to spend on getting this business back on its feet, rather than sitting on its **** as is the present position. i do have the necessary experience having run my own business successfully for the past 29 years and i had a previous business that i sold many years ago.
No Jim, all this FCA stuff isn't nonsense, it's the FCA's job to make sure that Company Directors/Senior Managers do their job properly and to the best of their ability and not to mislead shareholders/investors and that clearly hasn't happened here. Otherwise why are they in place? Just another kwango who are not doing their jobs properly, but don't mind taking vast sums of money for doing very little.
I will just add that the directors past and present have had a bloody good time at the shareholders expense. Our MONEY, I would just like to know where the FCA were when all of the above was happening. How the hell did Andrew Bailey become Chairman of the Bank of England, after failing to act against the previous directors while he was Chairman of the FCA. Not only in Valirx, but numerous other Aim companies, just makes you wonder what the FCA actually do. Absolutely useless.
The Titanic, the perm, now you are just being optimistic. It's not anywhere near as good as that, I used to have a degree of confidence in Suzy that soon evaporated. I don't like to think of a replacement for her, but I just can't see an alternative, she has to go and go now while there is something left to salvage, otherwise we all know what will happen again. It was bad enough with the other pair of jokers, but this just feels like more of the same. Same s... different year.
I agree with most of your post, but to say that coal is one of the dirtiest fuels is slightly out of date. With all of the technology that China brings to the table i.e carbon capture and sulphur capture units, coal doesn't have to be that way, it could and should be one of the cleanest and most productive fuels around. Technology is the key to fuels such as coal to be potentially one of the cleanest and most efficient ways of producing power and heating homes.
Sarah, you don't need me to back you up, that's not why I'm here. I am here to look after my investment and if necessary to back up my investment from certain people who think that they have the right to slam my investment ie your good self. How would you like it if you were trying to do some good for your kids and yourself and someone comes along trying to damage your efforts? Not a nice feeling is it? Try to behave yourself and if you haven't anything nice to say about Block then don't say anything at all.
Must be the most wonderful thing in the world, when you think that you are right and the rest of the world is wrong. The satisfaction must overwhelming or you really are stupid take your choice.
Doze, it does sound feasible especially when you consider which part of the world we are in, wouldn't rule it out. As you say it would be nice to think that the government is committed to a solution to their problems, which are of their own making. If they had committed to solve their problems in the first instance they could have saved a lot of money and face, rather than persue a lost cause which they have inevitably had to back track from. To me that just spells out how inept they are, and if they do get behind GCM I would hope that they will let us get on with it without any interference or preconditions.
The UK along with other western nations have little or no choice but to revert back to fossil fuels mainly because of the Russian/Ukraine situation, so what choices do the under developed countries have especially since most of them have little or no forex. So yes it is my opinion that coal mining will happen in Bangladesh and a lot of other destinations around the world, no matter how much the green lobby groups winge and whine it will still happen. This global warming argument doesn't really stack up, if you go back millions of years when the dinosaurs became extinct, their certainly wasn't too many cars, ships and planes around during that time of day. The biggest polluters are without doubt natural forces such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, I'm not saying that us human beings are not net contributors, but to a much lesser extent than most would have you believe, especially governments who see this as a good opportunity to tax the population out of existence.
I would assume that the suspension is due to the forthcoming election and possible outcomes for GCM after the said election, ie possible changes to the mining laws to allow Phulbari to be fully exploited as it should have been a long time ago. Let's all hope for positive actions to be implemented in 2024.
Excellent post Mr Wise Owl, I fully agree with your assessment of the situation and also agree that in the next few days/weeks that there is every possibility that single figures will disappear, hopefully for good. Just needs a little more time for Bangladesh to get their house in order.
We will see how we go then. As for the Rats and Scabby Dogs comment it's the same thing that's how I aim to protect my investment from the undesirables of this world. Have a nice day.
What you will hopefully understand is that the successful cut their losses and move on, oh really so why haven't you moved on? Probably because you don't have any losses, if you're not invested you can't have, can you? Unlike you I'm here to protect my investment from Rats and Scabby Dogs who ravage this board with no other interests than to destroy other people's investments. Shame on you all.
Can't ignore that the share price has gone up by more than 40% in the past 5 days and come the new year is likely to go up a lot more once the elections are over.
Well Sarah if you don't believe in Block after compelling evidence, which by the way is fully independent, then why are you still here? It doesn't get much better than being in the top 10 of energy companies to invest in, knowing full well that the Chinese government backed company is in the background backing us to succeed. It's not much good you spitting your venom about the company with unadulterated (facts) that you claim are the truth.
It's typical the very day we have good news LSE small cap/aim systems go down, you couldn't make it up could you! Was hoping to buy a few more, but that's not going to happen anytime soon is it. LSE your timing is impeccable.
