Something is brewing and not long to wait for it to come out....it has to be positive taking into account the above indicators..

The market lost confidence in the bod and their proven disastrous records and failures. The recent failure of bond sale added to the same theme of mistrust.
Yes the bank is well capitalised with good reputation among customers though very bad for shareholders.
I can see only a sale of metro or a take over by another bigger fish with a new management.
Current bod lost the plot and trust by the market.
The big question is how much would anybody pay for it....
If this doesn’t happen then we are here for a long term hold for those muppets to prove themselves to the market..
I believe the sale/take over options are more likely.
I too expect an RNS soon ...

Summary of Craig Donaldson biography....impressive with background of high position posts in risks management and liabilities . He has got a lot to lose and much more than any of us if metro fails..... I think to say the bank is going bust is unrealistic with him at the helm and strong fundamentals of the bank with safe total capital ratio of 18.8%..
We need to think more positive..Even if volatility continues metro will survive and thrive.

The facts are obvious..metro bank is well capitalised and its total capital ratio as of now 18.8% better than many banks including Barclays.
I am more than confident this current sp is well over done

Very good objective post and balanced views.
I hope everyone here follow suit.
No point to play with investors agonising for hopeful outcome.
If you are not investing..you really either stop posting doom and gloom based on no facts or be objective and helpful to others understand what is going on.
Sometimes not saying anything is the best you can do..
I hope things will improve from here and people investing here recover some or all their losses.

Bad day in every measure...
Tomorrow another day..let’s hope it will recover some of the today’s massive loss .
Management needs to do better to stop this fiasco..and reassure the shareholders and the market.

If you are looking for a heavy oil....Enquest has plenty ,nearer to us, and safer in uk. !
The only small issue ..they also have heavy debts too but manageable so far. I have plenty of Enq and heavy oil too!

Genl is a heavy oil production company.
“(The Kirkuk grade, which was traditionally exported through the Ceyhan terminal in Turkey is a 34.2° API, 2.24% sulfur crude oil grade. The Kirkuk blend is primarily produced in the Kirkuk area fields, but during the years, other northern fields have contributed to the grade.).”

The big question is how much the risk premiums worth above the sweet price of oil at Brent $60 pb. Your guess is as anyone else!
To me it looks like +$5 pb status quo but if more fire and fury $10 +pb
Add to other factors of global demands, china/usa trade deal..and foreign currency exchange .
But for the time being op is hovering @65 but looks bullish more than bearish..
Still think we are pointing towards $70 pb...
May take time but who knows what Trumpy and his friends in the gulf are planning to do!

Sp holding strong above 2 p. And up in today’s trading...ftse is down nearly 50 points!
One of the bright spot among other shares..hehe
