If you had read the finance RNS you would have seen that this 3 million is being used to do the Balcombe EWT and develop it so no further loan would be needed. Back up your seeds of doubt with facts and links.

Could someone be extremely kind and lay out possible news flow for the next 3 months for a lazy investor. Saw this company and researched the assets it held but don't know potential drill results and other company's drills like TLW etc.

Most probably this is AIM though. I understand what Captain Stanley was trying to say now in that it would be forward selling. It makes sense for YA to keep the price here until they convert and the issues at Brockham have played right into their hands. Maybe that's why Vonk got this deal because YA then knew what was going on with Brockham over Christmas and therefore knew the SP would fall after an RNS and also knew that it wasn't a diabolical issue. Anyway presents very cheap shares for us, could see rapid upside within the next 6 months. Pure speculation admittedly but its logical.

This is all just speculation no evidence of delisting meaning a takeover. My 2 cents is that PW does not want to sell but others may be trying to target SDX for a takeover. Why do you all think PW is in on this? Another acquisition and SD online will boost this SP and make it very difficult for a low ball offer like OPHR. Plus we also have the H2 drilling campaign.

I would agree, can't see why anyone would be selling at these levels. Must be shorts keeping the price down for YA to convert at the lowest price possible. The panic selling by PI's has now stopped. YA will get their conversion as I don't believe the water issue will be fixed within the next week to burn their shorts. The shorts will then decline, price rises and YA will sell. Good time to load up and copy YA. Spanner in the works is when will a good RNS drop about Brockham. Anyones guess that. Positives are we have cash available to see us through Balcombe and Brockham tests and that the water issues at both wells seem easily fixed its just ordering the equipment and getting the necessary approvals. This feels like another golden opportunity similar to when Tidswell's share fiasco made us drop to 4.5p.

Thanks Alan it is a bit of a shambles to say the least. The assets are still there and undamaged. Thats the only thing that is keeping me here. Unfortunately over the next month the new finance deal will mean more shares are made and flipped. Only positive is the shares in issue are relatively small and this price is bargain basement. Should be a volatile couple of months! Enjoy the Angus rollercoaster, we need equipment asap and to get on with permission for the Balcombe extended flow test.

NewKOTB I love your posts on OPHR but don't think SDX will get taken out anytime soon. PW has been quoted saying he wont be selling until its a billion dollar company. On balance however the SP variations that I have witnessed since being here from 23p are strange to say the least. SDX generally struggles with low volumes but when they are there this can rise extremely quickly. I reckon this May we will see some interest and SP action in the lead up to SD being put into production. Lets hope MEA aren't planning on what you suggest. The main difference here is that the OPHR BOD were always going to package it up for sale hence why I bought it. Whereas this is PW's baby and he wants to grow it himself. New acquisition and SD will get this SP back to where it should be, I'll be accumulating more now :)

This is what happens when a company builds up a bad reputation and also doesn't communicate with the market. I know the BOD have barely stepped through the door, but just let everyone know what the hell is going on with one of our flagship projects.

I disagree. Why would you switch focus to Balcombe when you don't have any of the necessary planning permission or production license there. Whereas at Brockham you have a whole 18 months permission to test it and get large quantities of oil and therefore cash out of the ground. My opinion is that they are still in transition and the new BOD haven't sorted out what they are doing and who is going to continue cleaning up the well and getting it to flow at Brockham. I am not denying that Caudrilla will want to get on with Balcombe but permissions and production licenses take time whereas it's already done at Brockham.

I don't think anyone is buying in now thats why the price is going down baits LOL. Waiting for it to bottom out so I can average down yet again on this rollercoaster of a share. If Brockham flows we will be back up in double digits in no time, but yes some light on what the hell is going on at Brockham would be good to know. Balcombe could be a beast but full sustainable production isn't going to happen anytime soon.

I'm invested in SDX, great company very undervalued at the moment. Normally has it's best performance between Jan - May. Weird things happen with the SP though like great news and no rise in SP then all of sudden it storms upwards. They have just removed from TSX as well. Can't go wrong with RPT, RRE and JKX but I may wait for the dips to add more. Amerisur might be a good shout at around 15p. If you want a huge amount of risk and a poorly run company you could go for Angs. But could be an easy bagger if they get Brockham to flow, could also get many a placing. PMO and ENQ looks pretty cheap. Those are my thoughts.

Forgot to mention it gets a bit more complicated if Medco offer a reduced offer but with a dividend as well.

As I said below normally yes if offer confirmed the MM's will raise the price to 55p. But if the offer is not confirmed then I would expect a drop here initially and then an increase in SP over time as we continue to generate more cash. Either way you look at it 50p is a steal for these assets and cash production. The poor investors who bought above 60p will want the offer rejected so that Ophir over the next few years can realise its true potential which is north of £1 or so that Medco increase their offer. What I'm hoping for is another big player to come in and stop Medco getting us so cheaply and then the bidding war begins. Hope that helps.

The share price will normally go to that price and you can sell there and then. Only reason it hasn't gone to 55p now is because Medco haven't confirmed the offer.

Because the guys running the show have been preparing the company to sell and earn a pretty penny from it.

Buy low sell high. I’m a bit shocked by all that’s happened. Assets are still good though and hopefully there is now more communication to shareholders but without Vonk overpromising and underdelivering. Just get Brockham flowing for gods sake I’ve been waiting ages for this ??. Finally we all knew Lidsey was a cock up but hopefully we can target the Kim there as well in the future but the two B’s seem to be the priority which I agree with. Would be nice to know where we stand on cash in the bank.

Most likely is an RNS on the GM and update on Brockham on Monday. They have put a good amount of nitrogen in there now so it won’t be long. As many have said no need to rush it, be patient it will flow pure hydrocarbons when it’s ready.
