Glad this weekend is over some weird results on the flat and I think Saturday was the first one this season when Richard Fahey hasn't had at least one winner. At Redcar 3.10 DEW POND EW trained by my old friend Tim Easterby is very consistent and over this 1ml6fgs he should go close and he should be going hurdling shortly. I would like to see FUMBO JUMBO trained by Gary Moss who used to look after MIND GAMES when he won 2 Group 1s for Jack Berry and Robert Winston who I have known since he first joined Richard Faheys yard and rode 5 winners for me as an apprentice. 1.30 Red. Black Saturday for me? Let's have a good Sunday. At Aintree .2.30 DANIMIX Won easily last time and should give another big run. HUNTERS HOOF should take the 3.00 at Aintree this Henderson horse could be above average on handicap debut. 3.30 Aintree RAJDHANI EXPRESS loves the course and should go very close with his jumping. In the Aintree Bumper had a very good word for JESSIE WEBSTER and that's my 50p EW Yankee for some Sunday fun. At Wincanton a horse I nearly bought when he was with Nigel Twiston-Davies ACCORDING TO TREV always runs well first time out and David Bridgwater will have him sweet for this run. GLA

ROYAL ARTILLERY as I served 6 of my 30 years service with them I got to have £10 as the horse cost 450000USD and owned by the Ballydoyle crowd and trained by champion Gosden and ridden by Frankie. In the 3.55 Chelt. VINTAGE VINNIE could be something special and is well thought of by the Curtis yard. In the 5.05 Amateur race at Cheltenham CONAS TAOI who is out of the handicap and jockey claiming 7lb could take this. GLA. I bet EW all horses over 4/1.

One of those weeks you get now and then??in the 3.35 Southwell I am going against the paper fav of Fergals and going EW on Brian Ellisons BEN CEE PEE M although ALCO SIVOLA has been working well and is well schooled I think the experience of the former will prevail and Ellisons horses are in great form. At Carlisle in the 4.25 AMUSE ME won for us last time and should go close. LUDLOW 2.10 LIGHT BREAKS good flat form and Nigel will have it well schooled first time over hurdles. I will go with the O'Brien/Brennan partnership will take Southwell Bumper 4.35 GRAND INTRDUCTION. GLA

If I was to have a bet on the flat tomorrow it would be in the 4.20 New. SNAN EW at 16/1 could have some value if he has improved with a very good yard from his first run with Frankie on board. In the 2.15 Worc. CALL ME VIC who has been improving with his chasing and Paddy on board will run a big race. Dai Walters who owns FFOS LAS racecourse could take the 3.25 Worc. With HORSEGUARDSPARADE cost 450,000gns as a yearling and was bought of Aidan O'Brien's Ballydoyle stables. Finally in 2.25 Font. MR MIX has been schooling very good and Sam will go very close on him. Racing on Tuesday not great as I don't like flat racing this time of year as we don't know if and what horses have gone over the top. It's a poor meeting for entries at Exeter but we will try and find some value. In the 4.15 Exeter RUSSIAN APPROVAL. Is a well bred flat horse and as this NH flat race is only 1ML 5fgs and trained by flat trainer William Knight he is bound to be ready for this. This race hasn't been priced up yet so hope for value. 2.10 THE EAGLEHASLANDED 3.45. DANANDY. At Wolverhampton 7.30 WELD ALKHAWANEEJ impressed the yard an 7fgs seems his distance and the yard are expecting a repeat. GLA

DANCING DIK unlucky looser as Paddy was 6 lengths in front when horse over jumped 3out and How Paddy stayed on board we'll never know but knocked the stuffing out of horse.

LEFKOSIA very interesting about cashing out must look into it. Well if I thought Sundays card was difficult then I find Mondays card even harder. At Pontefract in the 2.10 the Alan Swinbank's ZEALOUS could fight out a finish with his ex wife's TOBOGGAN'S FIRE trained by Ann Duffield and I think the ex wife horse TOBOGGAN'S FIRE will come out best. At Plumpton I am going for two short priced horses to be put in a double. The first in the 3.00. DANCING DIK with Paddy Brennan on board and in the 5.00 LOVE THE LEADER ridden by Alain Cawley. Alain and Paddy are very good friends and like a comedy act together and Alain is probably responsible for me putting on a few pound last season for the doughnuts he used to by on gallop work mornings at Fergal O'Briens.
