Well, I didn't expect it to get this low. 😫
There must be a floor, but appreciate this is now totally unattractive to the City.
I'm comforted by the fact that Sue Farr and Gallemore are very underwater on their recent purchases. 😆 I'm sure they don't like throwing their own money away.
To the earlier poster - IR stopped responding to anyone at all around six months ago...
I wouldn't be surprised if Kelso had sold up. I don't think they have, but it really wouldn't surprise me.
To find the positives, the market has had a difficult day and I suspect a difficult week is ahead.
Given the BOD has unitary type responsibility, I'll just be voting against all of their reappointments this year. MM maybe the CEO but the others don't hold him and the executive to account, so what's the point in them being there?
Not really sure I agree on JD. Yes they're expensive - totally agree - but they've also got deals with Nike etc which gives them exclusives which Frasers and Sports Direct just don't have. The latter two are like jumble sales of sports in comparison to JD. They also have a great app which is incredibly easy to use and spend money through.
The tie up I'd have loved to have seen (but don't think it will ever happen now) would have been MyProtein kiosks / concessions in all JD stores. 🚀🚀
I'd never heard of Applied Nutrition before yesterday. As I said their branding and product range is nowhere near MyProteins league. It'll be an IPO and then the price will sink or it'll be shorted down...
However, does provide some insight into THG being undervalued.
The question for me is why, compared to THG Nutrition, they seem to be able to pull a higher margin on lower volume of sales.
JD own a third of Applied Nutrition.
I own a lot of JD shares at an average close to current sp. However, I think MyProtein is a MUCH stronger brand and has a wider range than Applied Nutrition. If AN is valued at £1bn then the value gap for THG is absolutely massive.
Every time MM has posted on LinkedIn in the last 18 months there have been posts on here saying "something must be about to happen". It isn't. Don't wet yourselves.
The numbers calling out MM on LinkedIn are increasing. But let's not forget his response to that...that he thinks he is Robbie Williams or David Beckham 😂
The problem when you live in a bubble surrounded by young adoring (or bought off with cheap shares) Yes Men, is that you exist in an echo chamber of positivity and start to believe the rhetoric. You then don't do the things that matter - governance, profitability, share value protection / defense.
THG, the soap opera with MM as the lead character 😂
No one will believe me, but I'm 100% long on THG. Glad I got out and made a tidy profit. Back in around 66p which is my current holding.
I genuinely see value here, but I also think there have been many, many missed opportunities to unlock it for shareholders and my only conclusion is that it is purposeful action to keep it at a low level.
Steve...don't you know...duh...that sparta and Frank tuil is lurking below the notification limit like tigers in the reeds ready to rocket the share price into space...according to many, many posters on here 😂😂
