Intense competition between tenants is creating a race to rent as the amount of time listings are up for gets shorter, figures compiled for the BBC show.

Two-bedroom rental homes are listed on Zoopla for an average of 25 days, some 10 days less than the pre-pandemic average, estate agency Savills said.

High demand and a lack of available properties are forcing potential tenants to make an almost immediate decision on whether to apply for a tenancy.

Agents and landlords say the situation is unlikely to change without more investment in the sector.

Adrian Draude, 32, admitted he and his wife were ill-prepared for the level of competition they faced when searching for a flat after returning from their honeymoon.

Well the share price did rise after the 2022 and 2023 buybacks. The 2022 buyback finished on 11th October and the share price that day was 41.5p. The 2023 buyback finished on 25th August and the share price that day was 42.1p.

My last post final dividend payment should read 21st May! Banana fingers!

If you bought the shares on 11/04 you will not get the final dividend payment on 31st May. The latest you could have bought the shares to qualify for final dividend payment was 10/04.

Hoping the interim dividend will be around 1.01p when declared.

That was one of the reasons that interest rate decision making was taken away from Government and given to the independent BoE, so that the party in Government could not lower interest rates when it was not prudent to do so in an effort to gain popularity with the electorate when an election was looming.
