I don't think you are correct there. I am 3 years from receiving State Pension and similar to you stopped work 1 year ago, I think I am 41 full years contributions. I check my Pension Forecast annually on the Government website and every time it tells me the figure I will get is the MAXIMUM I can get, I cannot improve my forecast any more.

I am simply saying going forward there will be as much investment opportunity for Lloyds in the renewable sector so its not going to be a loss of investment opportunity by boycotting investment in hydrocarbons.

Going forward I would say there is as much investment opportunity if not more for Lloyds investing in Renewables. Like it or not, at some stage the world will have to wean itself of reliance of hydrocarbons for energy needs and invest more in renewables which will become more prominent. Hydrocarbon reserves are depleting, It is inevitable.

Lloyds have finally released the Q3 Analysts consensus. Looking pretty good but I dare say any tinkering Jeremy Hunt (or in light of yesterdays events any new chancellor in place ) does with the Banks on 31st October would change some of the profit forecasts.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Did any of the other political parties object to these initiatives at the time they were introduced?

Banks and Oil Companies are an easy target politically with the public...........allegedly making obscene profits with rising interest rates for the banks and high oil/gas prices for the oil companies. Go for the low hanging fruit first!

You are well behind the times. The Government announced this was being considered on the 21st September. Bank shares took a hit on that day when it was announced. It has been old news since then.
