Contracts with government are so much more reliable than contracts from business. The government are going to renew contracts continually unless the need for testing absolutely disappears. Even if that occurs they will continue to invest in ncyt for pre-pandemic preparedness... We know they are not as cost conscious as business however much they claim to handle taxpayers money prudently.

I agree but if Prof John Bell is saying it shouldn't we take notice somewhat? It doesn't mean there won't be a need for sng001 but it won't be the same need as if there was no vaccine. That's common sense, right?

It appears to me that the competition is slowly reducing as it becomes clear that quality over quantity really matters when it comes to testing. Ncyt/Primer Design seem to be one of the only companies to have courted zero negative attention and publicity thus far...

Yeah you're wrong. RIGHT NOW there are tens of millions of Americans trying to get tests daily and there aren't the tests for them...

Since last Monday the sp is 25% down. From ncyt's perspective the vaccine news dealt a blow to long term profitability from covid. On the positive side, there's a growing consensus that PCR not only won't be superseded by less accurate rapid tests but that those tests could cause more harm than good. This is in line with the two new mega labs which will be using PCR laboratory testing. We're also seeing the virus getting out of control in the US and urgent calls for more testing over there... And there was the rns sharing the positive interim care home trial results and the ramping up five fold of IT-IS's portable Q instruments (suggesting big orders in the pipeline).

So by my reasoning this share has been oversold. Back to £10.50 in ten days time???

I'm with you. The twitter brigade are helpful and well researched but at times like last night they go into ramping overdrive. In isolation that buy meant nothing, alongside the consultants large buy and Graham's £500k buy it tells a bit more of a story...

That's hardly a surprise is it when half of small businesses are currently shuttered and have been for most of the year. It's not something the economy can recover from overnight...

I do think if they are lining up an enormous contract for example with care homes it would look pretty bad if almost every director suddenly bought hundreds of thousands of shares one week before. £10k on the other hand will go unnoticed...

What's the largest contract anyone's managed to unearth that hasn't been reported? Is it the £2m Romanian order or are there examples of larger ones? Also does anyone know what size contract by law the company would have to report? I'm just wondering in regards to the US and France and whether or not sizeable orders could slip under the radar...

If investing ones money now around the £1 mark, what can realistically go wrong for an investor besides P3 failing? Is there the possibility of a successful P3 and yet no buyers at the end of it? I know it can't be as simple as that but to make some profit from here aren't we simply banking on a P3 success (which must be over 70% probability)?

What's evident is there was a rush of director purchases last week (today's was actual 12th November). Is it one month or two months break between director dealings and full year results? If it's two then it could be that this was the last chance to purchase shares before the window closed, so in rushed five of them?

That would bode well for what's to come...

I opened the holding rns praying for it to say 30000 shares bought... I mean if I was on the inside and the figures were as good as I am hoping they are I would probably sell my house and go all in! But still, a buy's a buy.
