Covid is huge business, look at any relatively small pharma involved in therapeutics or vaccines and you'll see just how much value covid has added. Moderna? This time last year $8b. Today? $72b. Already a midcap yes but $64b added value?!

Happy, your analysis is good on the whole but you are underplaying the upside considerably. If this is approved for the home setting across Europe and America they will have no trouble selling 100k treatments a month. That gives revenue of anywhere between £700m and £1.5b. The phase 2 hospital results were exceptional and took synairgen themselves by surprise as they believe it will be more effective applied earlier in the disease cycle.

Once approved and making money they are freed up to go after COPD as well as being the first line of defence for governments investing in pandemic preparedness. Although described as a 'blue sky' target Numis didn't pluck out £50 a share for the fun of it.

Would it be correct to say that whilst SNG has a promising candidate, it is behind some of these other potential therapies in terms of its potential approval timeline?

No it wouldn't be fair. There are a number of treatments on a fairly similar timeline but SNG is distinct from the majority of them.

A few weeks ago there was a lot of talk on here of something like activ 2 coming with conditional pre orders. Who still thinks this is the case? Anyone expecting anything interesting alongside the first dose rns?

Whilst the activ 2 p2 is going on we'll be collating the results from our own home trial. Collectively that's going to give us some firepower when applying for emergency approval.

Before activ 2 it was very clear in my head where we were at. The larger focus was on hospitalised patients thanks to the incredible (and somewhat surprising) readout in July. The p3 is looking at the effect sng001 has on those in need of oxygen in hospitals with the hope that strong results would lead to approval in the hospital setting. The expansive international aspect I assume would boost the chance of getting approval in the UK, Europe & the States/ROW.

The At Home trial was to explore the effect sng001 had on those deemed 'At risk' before symptoms had developed to the point of admission to hospital. The hope would be to get approval for outpatients or even those yet to visit a hospital. I also get the point of activ 2 but I wondered how they all intersect/come together. Is it as simple as more data = more chance of approvals? Does it matter if results fail in one trial but are positive in another?!

I'm obviously aware that activ 2 is a boon for sng but I'm just not exactly sure how everything fits together...
