You need to do a bit of reading, it's not a conspiracy or fake news. The restrictive measures in place throughout the winter led to an enormous drop in flu cases. Not to none, but very low. This makes predicting which variants will be dominant next year very difficult in regards to producing an effective flu jab next winter (a winter in which life should be back to normal).

You're exaggerating the level of impatience on here, it's only the odd user venting their frustrations from time to time. The rest of us are fully aware of the timelines and have been invested long enough not to expect regular updates with little substance. Personally I'd like an update on P3 at some point if it's likely to run into the summer now but besides that it's switch off time until Q2 (unless you're Tiger who thinks the mega RNS may be tomorrow).

We're still in the dark over where the long term revenue generation is to come from (more from that in Q2) but it's becoming clear imo that 2021 revs are likely to exceed 2020s...

Pedro I probably shouldn't bother replying to you as you are trolling the bb mischievously but the reason I'm tempted to buy back in is once Boohoo eventually shake off these allegations for good there is scope for one almighty rerate, as long as the business continues growing in the background. There is every chance this is a £10b business in a few years time although of course there is likely more volatility shorter term.

Either that or investors are fully aware that these types of allegations tend to cause panic and send the share price down. With boo at the moment it's safer to be out than in ST, long term it shouldn't make too much difference.

I sold a month ago at 345 only for the share price to move quickly to 370 so thought that was me done with Boo. A few weeks later and it's back at 315, amazing. Very tempted soon to take a big stake and switch off as much as possible in the knowledge that this will likely be £10+ a few years from now...

Tiger, you just got lucky plain and simple. It's not that your logic was particularly bad, it wasn't, but you have such a simplified view of the stock market. The reason the SNG share price has faltered over the past three or four weeks is not because trial results weren't due, it's more to do with sentiment that you could not have predicted - ie cases falling at a faster rate than any expert predicted, especially in America. That not only keeps attention on vaccines rather than therapeutics but also makes filling trials that much harder. On top of that there's been no virtually no P3 news which is a little bit disappointing and will concern some investors.

The fact you held Arb during that immense share price rally will only strengthen your own personal belief that you are a financial guru - trust me you're not so look after those gains Tiger!

I'd like to think it's more likely that the clinical trial page is not up to date but if so, an update soon from the company would be helpful?

The company raised £87m for the P3 and subsequent manufacturing and scaling up of the treatment, it is not acceptable to put that on the back burner because the US flashed us a leg. I doubt it's the case but let's not accept that narrative just because the p3 seems to be more TORTOISE than SPRINTER currently.

Good find gggg but jeez is that expensive. A good few years back when strapped for cash I travelled from the UK to Paris for £20 return. The tests alone are 1000% of that price!

So to get this straight, an interim readout will not happen based on the UK arm alone, it will be based on some threshold number, say 200 of the 610 across all global sites? It appears to me the UK is the only nation with patients so far, with the US to come online very soon (Texas was named the other day). If that's the case we would be looking at something like 120 UK enrolled and 80 international, for an interim readout?

Matterhorn do you reckon the UK arm will be filled before March is out? My guess is more like end of April but it's not based on any hard facts (don't think any of us have those to hand right now).

I was basing that on your comment 'he is not displaying impartiality on SNG001' which I believe seems a little paranoid. I don't watch his videos but he seems a genial and genuine chap. Has he made a video about camostat mesylate yet? If not is he not showing impartiality with that drug either, a highly promising potential breakthrough treatment? I doubt he goes through all the literature, I'm sure his videos are simply based on what's in the news... ivermectin is in the news hence his review of it, SNG isn't. If our trials prove successful we'll hopefully be in the news again, not just a cursory line or two amongst a long list of potential treatments.

The B117 strain isn't likely to evade the current crop of vaccines so although it will cause spikes in cases amongst the unvaccinated I wouldn't expect a huge surge in hospitalisations and deaths. Well, we will get an idea soon of how effective these vaccines are, especially as states like Texas and Mississippi relax all restrictions.

I'm really not convinced someone like John C has any agenda, that sounds like paranoia to me. It's much more likely he's barely given SNG another thought. He has a point, we don't have an anti viral right now... we do have a potential anti viral that has shown great promise from one small P2 trial but that isn't enough to prove effectiveness.

I'm certain if we produce strong P3 data he'll be singing our praises, perhaps even after the At Home trial results if they are good, but until then there isn't much to go on...

It isn't the climate that is the factor, it's the effect it has on day to day living. This virus will not spread easily outdoors, that's well known. Like for like that should make a difference vis a vis Florida and the UK over winter time... I don't know much about Brazil's high death toll, I imagine it's inequality driven with households packed with people in addition to the tens of thousands that have died due to lack of basic medical equipment such as O2. So yeah not so much the temperature having effect but socialising and interacting outdoors rather than indoors.

In terms of comparing Florida with the UK, I would imagine the climate makes a huge difference. Covid does not spread outside easily and so continuing with life as normal here in the UK would have caused more problems than the equivalent in Florida where they will still be able to eat outside/socialise for a lot of the winter or at least have windows and doors wide open to improve ventilation.

And yes however good testing has been, they almost certainly have caught no more than 50% of all cases across the state since February last year. All these factors will contribute to the falling cases and hospitalisations however much it mystified you :)
