It's impressive DB but we've known for a wihle that monoclonal antibodies are likely to be highly effective. The issue has always been delivery method and portability.

I was only trying to point out the irony of making a thread about subtlety on a new account that was anything but subtle! This bb is very balanced on the whole, it's a bit unfair to put me in the same bracket as dumbpunter when I have 40% of all the money I have to my name in SNG and DP isn't invested.

I agree bluelight. This would have been a far bigger blow if the share price had rallied to £9/£10 only to knock us up back down again. As it stands, we're still above yesterday's open.

Doc I very much appreciate your posts so keep them coming - no anti vaxx sentiment, no hiding from the very real realities but still fully invested and believing that this share can bring us good returns from here. I think the overly optimistic approach mixed with a tendency to take a swipe at the vaccines and other drug developers too will be off putting to new investors.

So either Soder has misquoted it, Bloomberg is wrong or the twitterati are wrong.

It will be quite amazing if novacyt stick with six monthly sales reporting, especially after the vague 'sales will remain strong for most of the year' comment in January' I agree the most important thing is for Graham and the board to build long term shareholder value but a few extra trading updates in between is hardly going to throw them off course is it?

I agree BennyBoo, this is more of a psychological disappointment rather than a material blow just as the SP looked to have turned a corner. Two steps forward one step back!

I feel particularly bad for Porky (and by extension the other great researchers) as they put a hell of a lot of time into promoting this share only for a broker to come along and knock it back down again. I'm seeing paper losses today too but don't have the same emotional attachment.

Soder could you please provide the link you're referring to? I can't find the price target and now we have speculation on here that it's not the target. Clarity would be helpful!

That's what brokers do, it just means they consider novacyt fairly valued currently. To be fair they are probably basing that on covid testing alone, which I agree with. It's the future strategic growth plans that'll turn this around and if good would cause Oddo to change their target.

Mavs, for what reason has the 29th March been mentioned? Seems a bit random.

Is it fair to assume we aren't likely to hear of any US contracts, at least not until the full year results where we might get some extra detail?

I've been pretty pessimistic about the short term SP here but a new big contract quickly followed up with details of the long term strategic plan and it's entirely possible we see a full reversal back to new highs. Would love an RNS now before the week is out!
