Even the most optimistic Bushveld holders like myself have stated on numerous occasions that it might require visible profits in the accounts for many to sit up and take notice. Realistically we're talking September and the interims for that although further indications may be given in the full year results if we get the March 31st cash figure, as I think we might - there's also the Investor Meet that will follow those full year results.

But yeah I'm looking at Q2 in July to confirm continued strong operational performance and September for the clearest indication of this year's cash generation.

No I didn't, I highlighted that one of the largest companies listed in the UK maintains huge operations in South Africa. I'll assume you're smart enough to establish the relevance.

Happy with the continued consolidation around 34p - a few more weeks of that please and then we should see momentum build into the highly anticipated Q1 update.

I think we're all acutely aware of the sentiment hit it's had otherwise a fully funded profitable company with $150m of net assets that's perfectly placed to benefit from the energy transition wouldn't be sitting here valued at $55m market cap.

The question is does all the South Africa issues listed translate into an inoperable geography in which to have your operations? if the start of the year is anything to go by then the answer is no... even the worst of the energy crisis so far has failed to prevent Bushveld pushing on and targeting record production.

I never said it wasn't relevant, I am stating that the reason it would be an issue is if it prevents Bushveld from being able to operate a profitable business.

So far it isn't.

We aren't investing in South Africa though, we are investing in an international company with mines and production facilities in South Africa. What will eventually dictate the success or not of this investment is if Bushveld are able to build a profitable business or not. All signs for the researched investor point to yes they can irrespective of jurisdiction hurdles.

When investors buy into the £50B Glencore they aren't investing in South Africa or Equatorial Guinea or Cameroon or any country in particular, they are investing in the mining business. Sure they have diversity of operations but South Africa is at the heart of it and they are one of the UK's largest listed companies.

We all said this last year and then in the q4 update they told us - a new agreement with the municipality that allows them to continue to receive power during scheduled load shedding.

In the Q1 update they confirmed that the agreement is successfully mitigating the effects and will continue to do so.

It has been made clear on numerous occasions that BMN’s operations are doing well, adult investors shouldn’t be panicking.

What many don’t understand is that load shedding has ALREADY affected BMN’s output and still they are generating cash and turning a profit.

When the energy crisis subsides BMN’s margins will improve further. The valuation is ludicrous factoring in load shedding but looking ahead it will become even more extreme in the future.

Simply cannot deny the support you just got for your post though ValJu, certainly tapping in to what everyone is thinking.

Fair enough, I'm just being a realist and accepting that a board tasked with what they are tasked with are not going to pay themselves minimum wage, however bad the performance has been thus far.

Should they have taken a paycut to at least show they get it? Probably yeah but I don't think there's many in their position that would, sadly.

One of the biggest myths out there I'm afraid.

To think, buying back 10% of the shares in issue would currently (at least theoretically) cost £3m. Petty cash. I'd certainly love to see that. They could then hold them in treasury and a few years down the line make an acquisition payment with them...

And I know how we're all feeling about recent management performance but relatively speaking £320k across the BOD is the opposite of excessive, isn't it?

On days like today it's a case of quickly checking if there's some important update that you've missed to explain the high post count and if not just moving on. Reading 75 posts of bickering is enough to send anyone to an early grave.

I've said on here a few times that I'm unsold on Cathie, it seemed to me that she'd struck lucky during the last bull run and built a name for herself that wasn't merited. Having just seen info on her Nvidia dump as shown in the tweet below I wondered what the rest of you thought of her, being such a prominent figure in the bitcoin space and all?

My dad was just five years old when the first Bitcoin was minted in 1964 but he still recounts the story with perfect clarity. It was well before the internet was founded and bitcoins were made by hand by special bitcoinmasons that toiled long days in secret locations only the illuminati had knowledge of.

Stupidly he sold two bitcoin for a couple of marbles and a piece of string but he says he’s adamant he has no regrets.
