“Brainless investors, brainless so called traders, brainless posties”
Well you read and reply to posts so which of the above category (in your words) do you fall into ??
Your narrative does no favours to yourself and if we could get beyond the personal attacks then this forum would attract many people to “risk” adding any expertise in their field, as such, there are now only the same few posters who contribute
I say risk because at the drop of a hat a wrong word or a differing view tends to result in being “green boxed” or hung, drawn and quartered
Your last post regarding actual information re RMG was 22/8/2019, where you replied to Fruitster (cordially) and ended “ALB”...virtually every post since then has been in retaliation to another poster etc
I am responding to you as you are the latest to post personal asides, I would have responded to any other in the same manner
This forum has become like a scene from West Side Story, if your not a Jet or a Shark then butt out, shame really as there used to be a diverse community contributing.
Fellow share holders like myself who aren’t necessarily Warren Buffet, Postman Pat or Nick Leeson are able to read and then DYOR, as I’ve said before, the buck stops with me, any losses I incur will be of my own doing, as so, any profits, and not because someone told me to do this, that or the other...its an informed choice
And please don’t say that there is a filter button if I don’t like the content of a post, I will continue to read all, just in case there’s a possible gem of interest that is of benefit.
Have a good weekend all...

@SMILODON
If you don’t go down for the exposure ;) then please keep posting with updates as to the current situation in your office, do you have many colleagues self isolating ?
That this board returned to a semblance of its former days and the reason I, and many other share holders joined....that is to discuss RMG shares, it’s place in the market, informed narrative from actual employees as to what/ where they believe their company should be/could be and of course to listen to other more professional traders for an insight as to how the markets may judge a share using their experience.
BUT....As I’ve mentioned before, I read all posts, I do my own research, I hear the ramping and the negatives, and in the end I have to make a judgement because the buck stops with me and any profits or losses that I incur will be of my own doing,
So over the next couple of days before the markets reopen, how about getting some exercise and decent sleep guys , there’s a lot to be said for endorphins and oxytocin’s..... and it’ll save me scrolling through 150+ posts over the last 24 hours to find one related to an actual discussion about an RMG share rather than any personal attacks.
Would like to think that in the end we are all in here for the same reason

@Redceo
I’m not sure whether the following was meant in response to one of my posts :
“ I do wonder also what mentality would consider the content humourous. That which prompted my filters was nasty, filthy and warped. ”
I wasn’t looking at individual personal jibes or downright rude posts, just the overall responses that I have read since last September where gentle banter and p..s taking has now become what I would call “amusing” , not humorous, there’s a subtle difference there, I don’t lol, my take on amusing is more of a wry smile as the comments have now become rather personal and my reason for reading or participating on this BB is to further my knowledge of RMG, do as much as DYOR, and hopefully ask pertinent questions where I don’t get battered for doing so.
I’d like to think I haven't upset anyone by my posts, as I’ll reiterate, I read all comments and make my own mind up, and that includes neither ramping or deramping.
Hope that explains my “mentality” and apologise if you thought my comment was specifically aimed at any abusive posts you had received

@ISpy
Yes, similar patterns from a D.O in Scottish Borders where my niece is a postie.
As for the testing kits, extract from RMG site
“ Royal Mail is playing a key role in the fight against coronavirus by being a key partner in the delivery and return of coronavirus tests to NHS and social care frontline staff. This new initiative will enable NHS staff to do a coronavirus test at home, and then return their sample for testing.“
And let’s hope that these test kits will be sent out ASAP......
Thanks for that JB, until you posted I was under the impression that the RMG board had been taken over by the Monty Python cast.
(Must say it can be quite amusing reading these posts when there’s nought else to do)
@Arsenal17
Have been reading posts on here for many many months and have 3 theoretical pigeon holes where I file posters....must admit I used to read the continuous ramping rather than the derampers but realised it just gave me a false take on what was actually in black and white regarding my quite substantial holdings in RMG, who doesn’t want to hear that £6 is better than £1.25 !
I continue to read most posts daily as the war between the “ups” and the “downs” is quite amusing, although sometimes below the belt and downright ignorant, but the posts I decide to listen to are realistic, based on current market news, are posted by experienced investors and give a neutral outcome without the bias, they go in my third pigeonhole...
There are many informed people here who are employed by RMG and I welcome their frontline contributions too

@GZKidd
In a nutshell, got it, one can do as much DYOR but appreciate the experience of traders/investors on here :)
Thanks to all contributors for explaining the differences between book value/share value etc.
So to be clear if (a very big IF ?) RMG were put in a position where a takeover was put on the table the shareholders shares would be valued at the price they are today ie £1.27 and not the £3.93 of their overall company worth ?
@VanV
Thanks for taking the time to reply and explain.
Totally agree these tests should have been evaluated prior to purchase by UK government.
For majority of general public watching that interview ( and not aware of companies such as NCYT) it seems that all the media coverage over last couple of days screaming out for tests has resulted in UK giving £millions to China... ironic...
I missed the earlier Peston interview but just watched him on ITV now with him discussing Chinese test kits paid for by our government, apologies if I’m way behind but has the following already been discussed here ?
I am a share holder and appreciate all the additional info posted...

In here at 1.40, along with holdings in ESL, ORCP, RMG so pretty much a sea of red but thanks to all the posts and BB’s. Did lots of research prior to buying and also gleaned from informative posters on these boards.
Glad to know theres company out there and thanks for the mantra “it’s only a loss if you sell”
That won’t be happening soon. :)
Mine is £2.20 ....
I’m not a daily poster, a ramper/deramper, just reading everything that all have to offer and making my own decisions based on reams of info
This has led me to buy in here and also Rock and Orcp ( my major funds in RMG aren’t very happy atm !)
I’ve had a few months of red days on all my shares and wake up to a blue one this morning :)
Glad I listened to all who said not to panic and dig heels in as I’m pretty much a novice.
Gla and hope this trade realises its potential, not just for my pocket but to help eliminate the spread of this disease

As another newbie to post on here alongside Omen (who says he/she hadn’t read any of the banter prior to buying)...I’ve had shares since they were first available and have watched, sold, bought, smiled and missed heart beats along this journey.
My first point of call each morning for the last 6 months is to visit this site for my daily medicine, sometimes a pleasant taste and sometimes such a bad taste I’m ready to spit it out.
Each has their own opinion and I respect that but I’ve learnt to skim pass the aggressive, rude and downright misleading comments, although it is quite entertaining to see who reacts and gets hooked !
So Omen, read on here each day, twice and thrice if you want, read in between the lines, don’t worry too much when your shares drop, you obviously have faith as you’ve invested in them, and don’t go booking an exotic holiday just yet :)
