The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Good evening Welshy,
I was a very young lad when Archie scored " that goal" against Holland. It is still one of the best world cup goals ever.
By the way, do you think gemmil is Archie making a sly buck for his retirement home? The mind boggles;)
Time for BT Sport and some European fitba,
Enjoy the evening all,
Hairy
Good evening Welshy,
I can relate to the work thing today. We have supermarket filling stations running out of diesel up my direction and folk are getting a little touchy .
You must be from up here with the best golf courses at your pleasure . In the words of Sean Connery " everyone knows God is a Scotsman ".
Watch for the replies to that . All the Daniel Craig fans will be saying he was the best Bond . Personally, I liked Roger Moore , he was more my style.
Poor day across the board today apart from POW so let's hope for an uplift tomorrow. Prem I am sure will do well and I still think we will see close to 0.75p-1p by June. This is just my own humble opinion but certainly I can see a bit of upside to come yet.
Have a pleasant evening all ,
Hairy
Good evening again Welshy ,
Actually Lloyds bank has done well this week . That was a £grand punt on Monday and so far so good.
Just a bit of play money with them but " every little helps ".
Enjoy the evening mate ,
Hairy
Good evening Johnny,
Aye, I'm in Hurricane again. Lots of folk got stung with them a year and a bit ago. I was invested in them at around 2p back then and sold out before they plunged.
Back in at 4p and hope that Crystal Amber can get things working again.
Many humble apologies to the Trojans for replying to Johnny about Hurricane on this board .
Enjoy your evening mate ,
Hairy
Good evening Welshy,
Absolutely bang-on with your post and not a golden cross in sight. Like you, I may have been tempted to " skim the froth off the top " during early trading in both Prem and Hurricane.
However , I think the deal is a decent one as GR is going to have to come up with the goods rather than just jolly along and collecta wage.
Time will tell.
Enjoy the evening all ,
Hairy
Good afternoon Carpy,
I agree wholeheartedly with you .
We do want the share price to stabilise for business reasons but more importantly for the war in the Ukraine to come to an end and ease the suffering of the civilian population who have been caught up in this .
Enjoy the afternoon all and be thankful we aren't living over there .
Hairy
Infinity pal ,
I think we all want things to de-escalate in the Ukraine.
Start thinking about that before spouting how much Prem could be worth.
Night all,
Hairy
Good afternoon Infinity,
Aye , I hear you but what ultimately you have to remember is that Prem are a small company working in Africa where not everything can be settled over a civilised cup of tea . Unfortunately, the world doesn't work like that.
Please keep up the optimistic posts but from my own perspective I have been round the block a few times and seen many up and downs over the year in various companies.
I have done well with the likes of Dana Petroleum and Kwik-Fit shares in the past . I hope that Prem and my other miners do well too. For the more seasoned investors here I am sure you will remember Tom Cross and how well he performed for Dana until KNOC bought them out through a hostile takeover.
Did someone say Parkmead ;)
Enjoy the evening Infinity, I do appreciate your views.

Good afternoon Infinity,
Unfortunately, Russia has been buying up gold since 2006 .
With their current reserves they have enough to service the Russian economy for at least three months . On top of that you will find that China and some of our so called friends like India who abstained the other night at the UN against more severe sanctions against Russia will hoover up the spare capacity that the Russians may have .
Developing economies are going to put themselves first and are not going to give a damn for anyone else.
Interesting times ahead,
Hairy
Good afternoon Mafs,
May I compliment you on the time you have spent doing that post and the background to it . I don't always concur with your posts but I must say you have done well with this one.
The geopolitical situation is going to be paramount in the short term and" burning bridges" in Africa isn't going to do any Western economy any good. As for Russia and China , it would appear they play by different rules. Let us hope the World can get back to some sort of normality in the months to come.
At least the two rounds of golf were good this weekend;)
Enjoy Sunday evening folks,
Hairy
Good evening Infinity and Vetta,
You both make very good points.
Its going to be all about cost , efficiency, durability and longevity.
Evening all,
Hairy
Good evening Doc ,
That's a very good post as well.
From a technical perspective in which I have seen many innovations and improvements over the past four decades in , automotive and the oil and gas sector we would be foolish to believe that Lithium and the current minerals required for the EV battery revolution are the be all and end all of technological progression.
If the cost of a battery turns out to be the defining relevance to the cost of a "new car" in the next few years I would imagine that a great many people will put off buying an EV and just run their current ICE cars that bit longer.
Personally, I have three newish ICE motors in the driveway and garage ( no Porsche before anyone asks ) and what with their warranty and servicing should do another five years each before we eventually convert to EV when hopefully it will be cost effective.
Enjoy the weekend folks,
Hairy
Good morning Red,
Good post , I concur with you.
Thinking in terms of £'s per share is pushing wishful thinking to the limits. There are going to be some ridiculous variations getting chucked about.
What has to be remembered is that everything has its price and reality usually comes to the fore. If the price per share did go up to the £ 1. 00 then the price of the resources we hope to confirm with the DFS and the surrounding area would be astronomical. What has to be remembered is if Lithium does get too expensive then technology will move on to find alternative minerals for battery production.
Personally, I see 1p-2p per share as a realistic figure by the conclusion of DFS with around 20 billion shares in circulation.
Enjoy the weekend all,
Hairy
Good evening Carpy,
Good post.
Hopefully things will return to a sort of normal in a month or two . Until then it's a case of watching the share price and being thankful we don't live in the Ukraine.
This is a hold for me for next couple of years.
Night all,
Hairy
I agree with you Daz that twenty pence is a bit on the excessive side of ambition.
At the moment two pence per share sounds reasonable to me .
Nothing wrong with shooting for the stars though .
Night all,
Hairy
Good morning Shiny,
Good post , I didn't realise you were a philosopher.
Enjoy your weekend mate,
Hairy
Good morning Johnny,
I concur.
Rumours can certainly get the market moving but unfortunately reality can be somewhat different.
Here's hoping for a strong finish to the end of the week to maintain the momentum of the last few weeks.
Enjoy the weekend,
Hairy
Good afternoon Red,
I like your thinking too . Three pence per share once proper evaluation is carried out beyond the initial Zulu area would be great .
I just think there will be a lot of twitching fingers before we reach 3p .
Enjoy the day all,
Hairy
Good afternoon Johnny,
I concur.
Between 1.5p to 2p would be a good price for Zulu at the moment.
Enjoy the afternoon,
Hairy
By the way, may I just reply to my own post by saying I have held my position on Prem and Kodal this week. Last year was a bit topsy-turvy for exploration companies but here's hoping that this year will be good .
All the best folks,
Hairy Futtret
