Bitcoin has no intrinsic value - all it has is imputed value and everyone knows this. Speculation/ pumps which equate to hedge fund buys will continue to drive the price up in 2021 (also thanks to a recent halving). I understand why people are so divided on the subject but Bitcoin has now become a cult as I explained before and Hodlers are the new Thetans. I am smart enough not to take a side with any sub-group or person, as I honestly couldn't care less ....I'm just here for the money .

Can see BRH /Paraytec taking 95% of test profits and Carl / Sheffield Uni taking 5% of the rest of the hundreds of millions we shall be raking in . What does anyone else think?

Looks like I finally made someone a believer , instead of hearing that "filtered" , "strange and damaged" stuff as of last night - (prob true though LOL). Nonetheless, the plan is to ride the pump and flog off /trade BTC /ARB for $500,000 in 5 years time. Switch into Quantum computing stocks (QRL incl) and pump more back into quantum resistant cryptos like Quantum Resistant Ledger and XXcoin, Crypto as I reiterate is here to stay, but nothing in technology lasts forever, BTC incl.

Doug, once we perfect error correction techniques, RSA and elliptical curve will be old news in 5-10 years time as less than 4000 qubits is required to crack them. IonQ leads the way with 160 Qubits right now , which is crazy as just a year ago Google were trailblazing the field with 72 (which already huge imo). FYI IBM is already on track , see below

As for current protection other than RSA, AES and hash based cryptography is well ahead and are the way forward at this moment .

doug, We would need to move to a quantum encryption algorithm because we would not be able to continue to use ECC to obtain the public from the private key. Ideally, we would want to transition to a new crypto sytem before a quantum computer exists. Then we can move to this new system before any property verification issues arise , however as you know the prior elliptic curve version would be invalid and the chain would be worthless.

Contrary to what you think, Quantum machines are significantly closer to reality than anyone realizes... it's just not mainstream news hence why NIST already have several potential algos to replace RSA after the quantum revolution happens.

Doug, feels like yr the only one I can speak to on here about this subjectm. We are slowly progressing towards Quantum but it will never happen at a commercial scale no doubt . Chinese and russian governments at it. IBM, intel Google ,etc, in a race .... Yet google are already shockingly far ahead with Sycamore.

The RSA 2048 length meets the NIST recommendation only until 2030 remember and technology moves at crazy speed.

Fair point you made 1Haberdasher, if you look at the bitcoin original whitepaper, Bitcoin was never supposed to be for "store of value" or gold 2.0. It was supposed to be used as barter for goods and services....i.e. actually used. I;m not deramping, It;s all in the white paper.

For now BTC is safe haven....after Quantum Computing breaks it...it will inevitably come crashing down but this is probably 10 years away. My plan is to see BTC at $400k and cash out before then.
