Short Interest on Fuel Cell and Hydrogen stocks as of 7am today.

Nothing above 0.5% (the reporting level) on AFC (only the tw@'s on here with their tiny shorts)

CWR is shorted by £19.4m, which is 1.76% of it's stock
ITM is shorted by £14.42m, which is 0.9% of it's stock
PPS is showing no shorting of 0.5% or above

BE is shorted by $256.06 million, which is 12% of it's stock
BLDP is shorted by $272.55m, which is 9.86% of it's stock
FCEL is shorted by $317.94m, which is 18.69% of it's stock
PLUG is shorted by $1,473m, which is 12% of it's stock

Clearly it's the USA shorting that's keeping the sector down.

As for Southern Oil, it has nowt to do with electrode longevity being assessed at 4 years as stated in AFC RNS, it seems like you are just throwing in red herrings here.

De Nora work is now mainly on Alkamem I believe, as AFC already had multiple 'better' electrodes for the L Series running in 2019/2020, and because 4 years was already deemed highly likely they most likely swapped to working on Alkamem for various De Nora products.

Meanwhile, AFC did update on Southern Oil in April 2020 and it is clear to me that it is up to Southern to get their funding, before that project can go ahead, so I suggest you go check Southern news and see if they got the funding yet.

Q: What is the status of AFC Energy’s relationship with Southern Oil?
A: At this time, there has been no change in the relationship AFC Energy has with Southern Oil. We remain in waiting mode, having completed the engineering study, for Southern Oil to confirm their ongoing funding and delivery of their project in Gladstone, Australia.

It doesn't contradict anything AB stated, only your interpretation of it, which I believe is incorrect based on the evidence I've provided.

What I will add is that although it is not likely to be a profitable project, it will pay for initial AFC system(s) to go to Mace and/or Ricardo or someone else, as AFC won't be testing their own system, as AFC do not own a construction or mining/quarrying site to test it on.

Telecom,

1) It depends if the letters went out on time
2) It depends if AB is away and too busy to deal with an RNS for it
3) It depends if AFC deem it RNS-worthy as it is R&D and AFC is now a commercial company, it's focus is on commercial deals not R&D whether Gov't funded or not, it's not something that's likely to be profitable just break even, so AFC may deem it an add on to the upcoming results RNS in the 'post year end' section
4) If it's a collaboration between AFC + Mace, AFC + Ricardo, or AFC + Mace + Ricardo then it will need all parties to agree to the wording of any announcement, which means the press release going back and forth between them, via their PR and Compliance departments until it is ironed out
