Considering the below news, India has an awful power grid, plus a lot of power comes from fossil fuels. Using Green Ammonia or Methanol would make a big difference to the upstream pollution that EV's produce in that country. India is now a big potential market for ABB too.

Oil is again pricing itself out of several markets including transport and power generation, and the inability of some producers to raise production means that is only going to increase the issues for oil as the World moves away from COVID restrictions and back to normality.

Saudi raising prices instead of raising production is a clear indicator that the oil market is broken. Oil and gas prices are not coming down any time soon.

Coming out of COVID restrictions Globally is going to release billions of pent up investment in all kind of business, as much of this investment has been on hold for 2 years. This will further exacerbate the issues with oil and gas supply.

Petrol and Diesel prices will keep rising and hitting motorists and users of diesel gensets in the pocket.

Renewables become even more attractive for investment.

Bring on the Hydrogen, Ammonia and Methanol.

Some of that pent up investment is hopefully lined up to go to AFC.

One in eight (12%) motorists aged 18-24s said they plan to swap their petrol or diesel vehicle for an EV model this year, nearly twice the national figure (7%).

More motorists aged 18-24s were affected by the COP26 climate summit, held in Glasgow in November 2021, than any other age-group, with over half (54%) saying it had made them much keener to drive an e-car sooner. Across the nation this figure stood at a much lower 35%.

A further 43% of “GenZed” felt that the fuel crisis in September had altered their opinion on driving petrol or diesel vehicles in the future too, which was more than double the nationwide figure of 19%.

AB saying he expects something, does not mean he is talking from his rear end. His comment was based on his inside knowledge of the pipeline and was a best assessment of the situation with each client at the time. Just because that didn't materialise does not mean he was talking from his rear end.

The weather man could say rain at 3pm today. It might not rain until 5pm or 5pm. That does not mean he was talking from his rear end, just that his timing was out, same as AB.

Surely, SURELY, he must be on the VIP invite list for Extreme E in NEOM. Maybe Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman will be there too. And as they have so much interest in Hydrogen, alternative energy, etc, they would surely get a guided tour that included the AFC Energy Fuel Cell EV Charger, with AB telling them all about it. Who knows, they might even sign a collaboration agreement at the same time.

Interesting stuff in this piece of research, especially the method they used to raise the Glycerol production level. I wonder if it could be applied to any starch, considering Starch is such a big market? A valuable by product called Propanediol is produced in the process too.

What crosses my mind is that the testing is being done on a 4 stroke diesel engine. This is what you'll find in any Diesel lorry (truck) or heavy machinery like quarrying and excavating, etc. It's also what you'll find in Diesel Gensets (isn't that where our engine came from?).

Being able to reduce CO2, NOx and particulates, whilst improving efficiency by ~13%, has to be of great interest to manufacturers and mass users of such vehicles and Gensets. How about a tie up with someone like Caterpillar?
