"The UK companies had very few shorts on them", really? £19.4m on ITM and £14.42m on CWR, maybe few as in not many companies shorting them by more than 0.5%, but I wouldn't call that much money 'small change'!

Both UK and USA stocks have made big gains in the past 2 days. The USA stocks all went up over 10% today alone. That in itself is a pretty clear indicator to me of shorts reducing or closing, or do you think losing a few million is fine for the UK shorters, or losing $100m+ is fine for the USA shorters?

CWR is shorted by £19.4m, which is 1.76% of it's stock
ITM is shorted by £14.42m, which is 0.9% of it's stock
PPS is showing no shorting of 0.5% or above

BE is shorted by $256.06 million, which is 12% of it's stock
BLDP is shorted by $272.55m, which is 9.86% of it's stock
FCEL is shorted by $317.94m, which is 18.69% of it's stock
PLUG is shorted by $1,473m, which is 12% of it's stock

Maybe a big order being filled explains why AFC went up so much based on 1,020,635 bought and 1,726,420 sold.

Based on the gains yesterday and today it looks like the shorts are unwinding.

And for the record, TECO produce PEM fuel cells, which will need high purity Hydrogen, which means if they crack Ammonia they will then have costly Hydrogen cleanup added to the process, and will have an extra system efficiency loss. AFC do not need cleanup.

Cracked to extract the Hydrogen. Just like we crack ammonia to extract the Hydrogen. Technical term could be reforming, but I prefer the term cracked, as the process spilts the fuel, it does not then reform it into something else.

And when I say:

Cheap cracked Ammonia?
Cheap cracked Methanol

I mean, without expensive gas cleanup.

So Mucksy, can a TECO FC run on:

Cheap cracked Ammonia?
Cheap cracked Methanol
Cheap low grade Hydrogen?

And, is TECO a LOW COST CAPEX and OPEX system?

And, does it even matter when there is potential for hundreds of thousands of gigawatts of FC's globally, and AFC is sure to get enough of the pie to make us all rich????

I wouldn't worry about them, as we had 50 clients lined up last June, and no doubt have more than that now. We are being very selective, we are prioritising clients based on their potential for big orders and multiple orders (Acciona and Mace are good examples of that), what we don't need is salespeople going out and bringing in a load of clients that do not fit into our priority, that is something for further down the line. For now, the CEO getting one big client a month added to the list is much better for us and our plans for building up the business.

Looking at the trades, the way the SP is continually ticking up after several sells and then just a few small buys, suggests to me a big buy order being filled with a max price higher than the current price.

DG1066WGAF what company you work for, IT IS NOT AFC and never will be. Neither is it relevant to how AFC sales are done. For all we know you could be selling bog brushes or kinder eggs, but either way we are 99.999% guaranteed that the business you are in has feck all to do with Fuel Cells, a company that has just emerged from R&D, a company just looking to get sales lift off. We DO NOT NEED sales people. When we get to continuous sales of over 1GW a year THEN we will need sales people because the CEO wont have time to deal with all of them.

Stop talking garbage based on an irrelevant business comparison.

The real problem DG1066 is you are clueless as to how sales are done in this industry. AFC don't need 'salesmen' or 'saleswomen' or 'sales [binary] [other] s), as the vast majority of clients will be huge businesses that deal CEO to CEO.

All the businesses in the Hydrogen Council for example are represented in meetings and events by their CEO, and those CEO's speak to our CEO about deals.

Once the CEO's outline the requirements, budget, etc, then it is passed to project staff to work on the finer details.

We are not selling double glazing, we are not selling carpets and flooring, we are not dealing with the public, so WTF would you think that we operated in that way????
