I think you are correct. Which then leads to obvious questions of boards motivations.
Best case scenario now looks company being sold for 8-10p :-(

One thing for sure : new board / appointments have an agenda. Phil Corbett is their mouth piece. If Kerogen start averaging down be very suspicious....

Spirit got mugged just like PIs. Company should have focussed on Lancaster before getting greedy any looking at Warwick or Halifax

Kerogen have seat on board. They have known of issues for a very long time. They haven't sold a single share in recent months. Have they manipulated share price lower? They can then hoover up shares at 3p and average down from their current average (apparently 15p).

Hurricane could then be sold on cheap (say 10p) in autumn allowing Kerogen to break even on their longer term investment gone wrong. Just a theory.... We will find out soon enough who has been buying shares at 3p!

I don't trust the new board. Investor Relations (Phil Corbett) assured me over phone the August shut down was entirely related to Aoka Mizu. He wouldn't however put this in writing by replying to email. I found from yesterdays RNS this was a bare faced lie. Do not trust them!

Nervously excited! Last few months been misery. Cmon HUR!

Well done to everyone who held firm this long. Good luck to all (be it long-term holders or more recent investors). I for one can't believe Hurricane is worth 5p based on available information. Onward and upward!

It's insane. World economy entierly dependent on oil (like it or not). BP is a behemoth and not about to go bankrupt. Surely anyone buying in at these levels will see a profit? The only real question is how much patience required...

Share price is nuts. This might drop slightly lower. However anyone buying now and holding for 12-24 months should surely see profit?

Not so sure. Most of the original funds remain invested. I reckon its just a function of small number shares in issue. of those only a tiny % are actually in circulation and being traded (as most sitting tight). low liquidity makes volatile swings up and down almost inevitable. the funny thing is that its all based on sentiment / pure speculation.

I had a stop loss set on this stock at 90p. However just deleted it (even though I think it might drop lower).
Need to ignore the share price and just hold until whenever a deal is done. The spread on LBE is so large that trading is impossible. Plus if you sell out then you risk missing the reason to be invested when a deal is finally announced.

Frustrating that a deal hasn't been done : it will come when least expected. In meantime the share price could slide much lower than current levels. However given the lack of fundamentals (until a deal is done) the short-term share price is arguably irrelevant. Once you are in cant do much else but sit and patiently hold.

Nothing is ever certain when investing.... However it feels to me like BP is currently priced entierly on last quarters results (and therefore at the bottom). Sub $30 oil was only ever short-term. Oil already back at $45 before covid recovery properly begins. In addition exploration has been slashed and fracking now unfinaciable. All of which makes BP a solid medium term recovery play : the only question is timing.

Surely at these prices BP is a safe bet? Entire world economy dependent on oil. World population growing. For sure oil is out of fashion : but that doesn't mean it doesn't remain profitable. Recent low oil prices mean no one is exploring for new oil. However world will eventually recover from covid and demand will return. Brexit is undoubtedly a disaster for UK : however weak £ will benefit BP. Similarly Biden surely a safer pair of hands than Trump. For sure : lots of uncertainty. But that is arguably reflected in current record low share price. What I don't know is how long recovery may take : however those prepared to be patient should surely see 400p again? Though it might take 12-24 months

At these prices BP look like a bargain to me (assuming you have patience to wait).
Therefore I bought in this afternoon.

Oil price is recovering. Humanity will find a way to deal with covid. Like it or not the global economy entirely dependent on oil. Cant see this dropping much lower than here. Medium term this should easily be 350-400p.

I did buy some BP today. £2.60 seems ridiculously cheap and low-risk.
Expect them to bounce back to £4-5 as world recovers from covid though not sure of time-scale.
