If you want to make money, you short PFD with CFDs........small amount (less than half of your share holding). Trade it in and out.......you would start to fall in love with GD when you see how easy it is to short this thing.

I agree with you, since the 65p offer was turned down in 2016 only the CEO and other overpaid execs have benefited. I think Nissin was just looking for a noodle manufacturing / packaging contract. All long term holders need to short PFD here and there to make some money.

The level of illiteracy in the U.K is shocking, look how easy a useless guy like farage and pompous fool like boris can lie to people about brexit. If the VAT on essential energy supply is abolished along with the useless green levy, price will come down naturally. The big six can compete with each other with less regulation and focus more on wholesale prices which keeps going up since the pound is down and oil has gone up a lot since 2016. Petrol has gone up by 30% in just 2 years at the pump, do they think gas and electricity would stay they same?

Centrica looks good for M&A.............the level of public hate is just too much. The consumer energy supply part should be sold off. The media and politicians are so dumb that they don’t know how low our SP is before lying to poor uneducated Brits that energy companies are rip-offs.
The government is the rip-off, council tax is so high, fuel duty, green levy and vat on electricity and gas is joke.
I guess energy company CEOs are so dumb to point out the obvious, how many small new players have gone bust?

At least VOD can resume charging roaming fees after brexit.

Since I started investing, the best shares for me are the ones I picked with zero detailed research. I picked apple shares in 2010 just because their phones were crushing it, people were lining up for days just to buy their products, they also stashed cash in Ireland just to delay their tax. You will not be happy if you invest based on numbers and facts alone...........it is a very sad thing to do. You need to pick a sector that is stable and growing first before looking for companies to invest in.

What do you want from BREXIT? You made no sense and only sound bitter. Why can’t brexiteers want something other than, “I don’t like him cos he’s polish”, “immigrants have taken my job” and blah blah blah. Oh the dumb politicians would say “ Europeans are not showing us respect, don’t they know we are Brits”. What a joke......time has changed, Dublin, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam would take all the investments.......so many English speaking schools there.........Any brexiteers here been to financial districts in Dublin / Frankfurt recently?

What area are you from? No need to bang your head on the table.......just invest in companies with low debt, good cash on the side and consistent profits backed by a tangible product / service. Telecoms are cheap as well as financials. Utilities are so undervalued because of Ofgem ,Theresa May and Corbyn. Those 3 sectors make profit but regulators are crazy. I have a better Idea.........buy european companies in Germany / France / Holland as they would do better without the brexit cloud.

I guess the market wants to suck more people in before plunging. The shorts are purely for hedging / trading and supposed to be very easy, quick in, quick out......over and over again.

These so called regulators love zombie markets where companies cannibalise each other.

I guess BR loaned out more of our shares.

Hoping for 40p next week then, we almost cracked 40p this week but tiny crappy volume is pushing this thing higher for no reason.

This will rally if we get a great brexit deal (E.U mirror) and once PPI is over. The digital strategy will help reduce costs and increase profit but we need the economy to grow.

There is money to be made here mate, 10% - 20% guaranteed plus divi but you need to be patient and be able to average down. Not going to be easy but VOD looks reasonably priced as well as european equities. Market will rotate and not crash this time, the wise guys figured it out already. Nasdaq to crash, Dow and S&P will correct while the Ocado’s and fevertrees here will correct themselves too. No more simultaneous crashes for no reason........cheer up mate, you are invested in a good company.

Super tiny volume, best for hedging as tiny sell orders down below can move market. I think Oasis underestimated king GD and should have borrowed more shares and ensure at least 50% votes against him. I guess they tried but couldn’t get their hands on more shares which leads to a simple question. Why are people holding this share? No divi, dinosaur CEO, thick chairman............could be that a date has been agreed secretly by..................the 59%!

I will take 55p instantly.........why wait forever when there are other better companies that pay divi? Nissin is not prepared to pay any premium and is happy to bill us for whatever they do for GD. How many people here wanted to stay this long? I thought 6 months after McC saga , Nissin would takeover then spinoff sweet treats.

I think most small holders and frustrated big holders would sell to oasis at 55p. Most people here would sell at 55p..........now Oasis can do that, hold the shares then offload to Nissin for 70p - 75p. Oasis needs to instruct their broker to enter the market.

That’s the spirit, GD wants shareholder to forget about their shares and focus on something else. Oasis is still crying after losing the battle...............PFD looked like a perfect takeover target after McC drama and Nissin back door deal.

So you bought some shares and expect the price to jump? The juicy divi has been paid, VOD is not an AIM company so it is hard to move with few pennies. Think about VOD as a house, forget about the SP and take the divi.......invest more if you have spare cash and never worry about the SP.......or just sell up and buy Ocado, fevertree, ASOS,Amazon or any share that keeps going up.
