As telecoms are the backbone of social media, I see no reason why VOD, BT, DT and co can’t team up with WPP and start selling “real targeted ads” because only real people are using their networks unlike social media. Advert money is the way forward, telecoms can actually offer free services in return for advertisements. It would be a proper social media.
