That could be a reason for the rise today...........

MMs want companies to grow and improve their revenues and profits. The current market just wants VOD to report higher revenues, reduced costs and better revenue / profit forecasts.............The SP would turn once the new CEO does his thing.

I think char is leveraged up and needed to get in and out quick as he did with Shell........sorry mate, you’re stuck for a while.

200p is conservative, 230p is the real deal.........get somebody else to manage your portfolio. If I were you and not leveraged up......I would leave VOD alone and till next year. Check RMG chart.......pension problem this, low letter volumes that, GDPR this, regulations that.......SP went down, even got thrown out of ftse100 but hey the recovery was swift. Do you know why?

Told you guys before, 59% want the SP to stay lower for longer. That AGM vote is a signal to hedge your bets.......even though you’ve bought in since, you can short small CFDs to make some money on the side. Short has to be a lot smaller than the long.
Also GD can get more juicy free shares at low levels.

The rich folks that move markets will be back from holiday soon.......VOD would hit 200p before Dec 31 definitely. I am not a rich guy so no money for betting.

VOD is a great brand and a great business and you are right to suggest a takeover is needed. I look at Facebook and other bubbly companies in America, they could easily buy telecoms but they can’t because of restrictions. telecoms are so undervalued even though the world relies on them........the market is crazy. VOD would be 400p if most stocks were valued like Ocado.

Not sure you understood my posts, I am long VOD and was trying to show charr that VOD has manageable and cheap debt but needs to cut costs and focus should be on shareholder value (SP growth) not divi.

I need SP to grow, hate to see my portfolio constantly red, SP needs to rise.......divi is good but has to come from cash profit.

Divi is like self liquidation anyway, divi has been taken from the SP so a reduced divi means less liquidation more to spend on business. Tesco and Sbry fell because they were losing grounds to German discounters and TSCO had a junk rating. The former shopfloor guy ruined it further but oh my VOD issues zero coupon bonds, 1% long dated bonds......2% super long dated bonds.........how you like it charr? VOD is so solid and you should check it’s debt profile.

Cutting cost means cutting unproductive part of the workforce, business and related expenses. Blockbuster should have scrapped expensive stores and move to postage model. Now Vodafone can cut useless managers and execs, reduce number of stores, use little space for retail, while offering great product / services.

A divi of 4% is ok as long as SP rises and company cut costs.

GD must be on a golfing holiday........this will tank once the school run begins.

Once the divi is cut, VOD will rocket. The city will put a good spin on it saying money saved will be used to improve business. 200p is easy while 230p is reasonable.........we shall see.

Call it fake TV as they are not real. They will all end up like Katie price someday............

We need to crack 40p then plunge to 34p.

That £1million is another waste of money which would line spin doctors pockets. These guys are rich already but they keep flooding them with money. £1million startup farm / creative / manufacturing business won’t be a bad idea...........employ people and produce stuff that people need.

I totally agree with you, work is work and it is good for confidence and mental health. If FTSE execs can take less money, there would be enough to create more jobs. People cry if their bin is not collected but don’t want to become a bin man. I will do any job as long as pay is reasonable........I just don’t like it when dumb guys in suits sitting all day on the table get paid to wreck companies.
