Stay the course, 220p is the promise land. So many fools here keep talking about debt............Debt makes the world go round.

Some companies don’t own the network but more valuable than us. Networks and infrastructures should be left to pension funds as it is a huge distraction to BT and stops them from innovating.

Last chance to Buy or Sell............this would end more than 10% up for the week if divi is maintained and guidance stays positive. VOD would plunge but recover quickly if divi is cut along with revised growth / profit forecasts.

Wagamama must be facing trouble but got bailed out by its friends. The discount is huge on already cratered SP..................they couldn’t get their bankers to underwrite it close to 200p.

If companies don’t load up on debt now, they would end up paying more taxes, fewer banker friends, fewer bondholders friends. VOD is like a government, the debt will never be paid off.......the idea is to keep rolling it over, refinancing it.

So many dumb people here crying about debt, where else does money for acquisitions / spectrum bid come from? This is how markets work, put fear into dumb investors. If an oil E&P company loaded on debt when oil was at $100 then you can worry.

Now whatever VOD is borrowing for is surely low risk and the services it provides will be needed even during recession. So much fake news about high cost of 5G spectrum auction.......governments are the worst auctioneers. Suddenly all EU telecoms are down in the middle of 5G auction...........you know why? They want to look like they’re struggling so they can pay less.

£115 a share? Kellogs.........what are you drinking mate? I would be a multimillionaire instantly at that price not to even mention £160. Once we break above 170p, this should rally hard over 200p before cooling off.

VOD’s debt / bonds can be seen on their website............low coupons / zero coupons / long maturity. Why won’t stable companies who provide essential services load up on cheap debt? Rates are so low that solid companies are borrowing for the future. VOD’s debt is sustainable and essential for future growth.
The market divi yield looks high but fair value divi yield is slightly over 5%.

I just wish National Grid will become interested in owning OR. That would be great news......regulators don’t like BT because it owns OR. BT is slow to change because it thinks like a monopoly.

Why would a big seller sell at a huge loss? This computer share trading is complex..........lots of CFD contracts are working in the background. No big shorts on VOD, income funds keep buying.......there is a big struggle to flush out leveraged buyers.

Your calculation is wrong, the next divi is less than half of the previous one so if VOD plunges........it would be relative so max from here is 15% down. 120p is my floor here.......not sure I can get any funds to average down beyond that. The telecoms sector is in recession / crisis already so we should be spared of any general recession. Keep calm and keep buying.........just like fund managers are doing!

Phew.........so hard to average down close to 150p.............buying purely for divi is dangerous! VOD is now 26% of my portfolio.

The market has killed any bullishness in retail traders, they have made VOD look so bad that 97% of people here will bail out at their break even then watch it climb 20%. The market keeps playing the same game but retail traders keep crying. Please switch off or buy more if you want to make money here. Keep watching this SP will make you sell at a loss or break even then you will get stuck in another presumed safe stock.

Hi, most businesses don’t look at their SP as it is complicated. I am sure VOD would be back above 200p by 2020. Once all 5G auctions are over, the sector will grow and reduce debt gradually. Low SP base is always good for a New CEO.......Nick read will MVGA......Make Vodafone Great Again.

Let’s hope NR comes out with some bullish stuff but the liberty deal in needed for revenue growth which the market is dying for.

Nice to see you made money with CNA, I’m still stuck but utilities could shine next year. Telecoms will recover next year but I expect a rally into 2020. I am not a fan of banks sorry.......the amount of unsecured lending they are pushing is ridiculous. I prefer reckless mortgage lending than reckless car loans and credit cards.
