The useless communist/socialists at ofcom are under pressure. Today’s announcement is a tiny step, we need wholesale replacement of ofcom officials by smart people who understand investment return / shareholder return not business illiterates who got free jobs. OR and BT must be allowed to reduce debt before any useless regulation that hinders profitability and recovery of investment.

I understand what you mean but VOD, BT, Orange and many more could have invested in all these new tech companies that they support. Just look at AWS by amazon........telecoms should have seen the growth in cloud. Advertising money is being gobbled up by google and Facebook while big telecoms are earning next to nothing. VOD looks big but it’s revenue must be less than that of Facebook I guess.

They are trading the shares before rights issue...........selling at this low means 10 - 20p is the price for the new shares.

The MMs know much more about the company and they see no huge growth but just debt servicing. Tower co and other assets up for sale won’t even reduce debt that much. Vod must make more money from its brand and business by lobbying hard to reduce regulation.

Sorry, I was just being honest......VOD is in too deep with debt but lacks creativity to grow. Same execs, old school folks with old ideas. Telecoms need to employ smart people not just old school accountants who know how to issue bonds. So much mobile payment apps not one from big telecoms.........sorry they only offer premium number / text fraud payment service. Telecoms were only interested in servicing chat girls / scam competitions only.

I agree with you, something is wrong with ITV’s addiction to singing shows! They have zero future earnings............Downtown abbey, Poldark were good stuff but I don’t know why they won’t focus on that model......quality drama / series that can be watched over again. Wasting money on useless presenters (ant & Dec) and talk show hosts is just so old school.

Never average down when it comes to a single stock with no “moat”. VOD is not worth it, take the divi and your spare cash and put it into something more positive. Don’t make the same mistake as most people here......it hardly works out except for companies with little or no debt that could be takeover target.

You forgot to mention HUGE debt...........my God the debt is colossal. Vodafone Idea must be sold ASAP. Tower co money is peanuts. I would sell out of VOD once I hit my target and never look back. The telecoms industry is like a donkey............ The stupid industry is down while smartphones are being used by record numbers, streaming, social media......absolute dumb.

Absolute rubbish, MMs saw an opportunity to wipeout retail investors. BT should have invested their huge pension in the stock market like the Norway pension fund. Annuities are rip-offs and fibre broadband is not a big deal......Ofcom is the problem (the socialist regulator wants BT to become a charity to other telecos). The CEO was an uneducated entitled bastard that has been replaced by a sensible person (average but ok for the job).
Only problem this year is Ofcom, I hope Boris can purge the psychos running it.

Surely, RMG will hit 550p.......the days of militant unions are long gone. Boris will rule for the next ten years so unions will disappear slowly. Once we get some good numbers and Rico starts sounding optimistic, the SP would fly. My guess is that, Rico is happy to scoop up tons of shares at bargain price. Only a fool wouldn’t see that Rico knows a bargain......the guy is super spoilt and wouldn’t load up on RMG shares if they ain’t worth double. Rico is not looking for 10% or 20% gain. A greedy guy like that wants at least 100% gain.

Once retail holders are wiped out, the MMs Jack the price up. They did it with Pets at home, Anglo American, Glencore and so many. I blame the dumb guys buying shares via spreadbets / CFD.

RMG would hit 500p easily next year but 600p is the target.

Telecoms forgot to cash in on online advertisement / e-commerce / online payment economy because the CEOs were entitled bastards.
All those three sectors are driven by telecoms.

My crystal ball just delivered a great message..........sell VOD @ 220p next year. Telecoms will do well in the new decade (ESG rating is great, it is a necessity, 5G will create buzz for price hikes, costs set to flatline while tower assets are monetised).

Also Woodford to launch a new fund that will gain 300% in just 1 year!!! Hahahahahahaha

Another waste of money, no repeat broadcast revenue potential. I don’t see Netflix paying to stream their rubbish shows.

Just sit back, forget that you invested in itv then compare britbox to other platforms. Also think about growth potential and younger customers when factoring your conclusion.
A smart CEO would have just focused on producing quality content / add-on channel on existing streaming platforms. Itv branded section should be on Netflix, amazon, Apple + and others.................not trying to deramp just being honest.

Britbox is a big JOKE and would disappear within 3 years or become free (adverts)

CFO along with insiders are not allowed to trade with inside knowledge so nothing good will happen soon. Big buy for sure but don’t expect fireworks so soon.....6 months - 12 months would be appropriate.

European utility sector performed very well this year......CNA is the big joke.

Just as the BBC would get knocked back with their socialist agenda of convicting people for not paying to watch $hit TV, ofcom will be shaken to its core.....remember they refused conservative complaint about melting ice. BT will climb above 300p quickly before grinding higher to 350p by end of 2020.
