RE: A read …29 Oct 2022 11:24
Yep read it and the report is a full ten years old shortly, progress as we all know has been veryyyyy slow....... The only difference is a seriously marked increase in resource and well flow rate, also really interesting is the rock below the condensate is likely oil bearing. Darwin could well be the mother of all and worth even more than we all originally thought. Capex for the initial three wells should be interesting, interesting to note the original costs quoted using a huge 40% contingency. My guess around 750 million-1 billion dollars and using a leased floater to get this thing off the which isn't a tiny amount of course, but the interesting thing is that all original Capex will be repaid within 24 months at the current oil price which could be the deal sealer. However all of us can guess what the oil price will be in 3-4 years time (or more) after project sanction.
