Also if I recall right, in their annual report they recently disclosed they had signed the life sciences division of a large Japanese conglomerate as a key client will hunt that out later but this could be very attractive to them if they're still on the books

This is way more than I had expected - it's not just strengthening their hand with the platform it's actually patents for two families of antibodies. Wil take some time to read into the patent later. Be very interesting to know what the antibodies are targetting. Could be some valuable licensing deals for them alone let alone the platofrm

The results were really good when you look under the trading update some really strong performance. They haven't given much away about optimal or NCI tho and I wonder is that getting closer on the horizon so they're happy to wait. It would be great to see more about how that is progressing

Great post RP. I wholeheartedly agree. It does look like on of their bd execs left recently , on of the older crowd who wore the combats so maybe they are doing a reshuffle. The Allenby note from January also said they we're going to " invest in additional business development capability, notably

Yet there is no mention of this in any recent development material so again we're left hanging

From 8-9 months down to 4 months. That's over50% and a huge competitive edge on a high value product

The trading update was very solid actually. 50% margin is where they were in the golden years with bigger revenues and where they needed to get back to. Even underlying of 43% excluding finnn is very impressive . A hidden gem in the teasing update is the cell line development work. That I believe is high value and margin and what some of the big pharma guys are coming in to them for. They said they've managed to cut times

We seem to have someone who is accumulating in £13k chunks whenever this dips. Good to see someone who recognises the potential value here

All valid questions rp. I just hope the company take a look at the responses and give a meaningful reply. They were very good last summer. recently it's clear that walbrook have been replying on their behalf with responses with spelling mistakes, one liners that don't actually address the query being asked. Hopefully they are aware of this quality issue.

Hidden positives in the Allenby note look to be some heavy institutional increases that haven't been RNSd.

According to Allenby note in January, the following holdings were declared.

Cannacord 6.1%

Unicorn 5.6%

Rathbone 5.5%

Today's Allenby note says their holdings are

Cannacord - 9.1%

Rathbone - 7.8%

Unicorn - 6.7%

So it appears if the Allenby info is accurate we have had some significant increases that haven't been RNSd (bar unicorn)

100%revenues in line with expectations, margins beating by a long shot, cash stable and around where brokers thought. My sense people looking for more on the forward look and that is light. But a strong performance in fy26 and a lot to play for in fy27 is my view

Thing is, it's a positive rns about the underlying business. But very little colour at all about optimal and its future. It's like it's barely mentioned. So what can we decide from that, are they holding back because something is happening in the background? Or is it a flop?

There was good mention of NCI in here. I wouldn't expect them to announce the NCI deal in a trading update and I would expect them to be cautious mid negotiations. Neverthe less it's positive for them to acknowledge that
