Yeah looks like either distressed or taking gains before the end of the tax year. Either way this moves quite quickly because of the small volume. We have seen how quickly it snaps back when the tables turn

Good sentiment Chris. The company do seem to be at a pivot point. Brokers are forecasting very good things from them in h2. It feels like we're at the point that news could drop any minute on multiple things they're working on. The IP agreement earlier this week was not on anyone's radar and so shows they can just drop good news out of nowhere

It was around about this time last year that fusion created that Optiphage library for a "with a leading global provider of antibodies for use in research and diagnostics".

At the time they said the client had secured an option for an exclusive licence which they would pay fees and royalties on if they chose to take it. Last we heard they were in the evaluation window of whether to take the exclusivity option. Coming up to 12 months or so I think from when fusion delivered it....might we just get some out of the blue news about a licence deal for that?

About NCI: "with all the kudos they have, their geographical location, their influence, their standing — we couldn’t have wished for a better partner really for this.”

“I suppose I can say it but maybe you can’t — if everything goes well it will be a company maker for Fusion Antibodies”

Adrian's response:

“yes, it’s not the only thing that we have, it’s not the only thing that we’re working with… but as I said earlier, it’s our flagship… it is phenomenally good”

Just over 2 years ago Adrian did an interview with Zak Mir after they announced the initial NCI collab, the excitement was palpable and the speculative talk at the time about what if it went well was very interesting. The kudos, connections and prestige of NCI and if it played out and went well it being a "company maker". Worth listening to for context because well, we're here....the partnership was a success, optimal was proven, and NCI are clambering at the door to have optima for many years to come....just a matter of time folks.

From the look of those slides on that LinkedIn post from HIRANI (the edge of them have a DR on) Richard is presenting an update on their DR5 antibody project they're getting ready for potential licensing for trials with Queen’s university be very interesting to hear where they are at with that. Think that was funded from 18 months from May last year. Some interesting text in the UKRI publicly available funding portal on that:

"The end result will be a well-tested antibody ready for clinical trials. This new treatment option could either be developed further by Fusion Antibodies and QUB or licensed to a pharmaceutical company for widespread use, ultimately benefiting patients with various types of cancer."

Was good to see buyers stepping in the dip on Friday. Certainly feels like a value level for me with the potential news due soon.

Agree - remember that the company did say this earlier before the NDAs. Now that has progressed to NDA. Optima is the earliest stage in the discovery process and large screen. People won't jump in without due diligence so it will take time:

I believe the DR5 project fusion announced last May was funded through the launchpad funding. I wonder if they will be showcasing and if we might get an update soon too as it's almost a year.

That would be nice. Guess it's a matter of timing it right. Having NCI landed would make them very relevant to US investors I guess.

What do we recon this line means in real life - this was in the placing RNS:

"The commercial plans will focus on increasing the Company's presence in key geographic markets, such as North America"

"will allow us to accelerate commercialisation, invest in strategic partnerships and targeted global marketing; and further strengthen our proprietary technologies. This will place the Company in a strong position for sustainable growth and help to generate long term value for our shareholders."

I asked the question about both and all the company gave me was "we have an internal strategy for this that can't be shared" -

what would be so sensitive that they don't want to share it?
