Afraid not. Its a hobby or more like an obsession they've taken up instead of say.... owning shares for instance. I bit of criticism is fair enough, question the board's salaries definitely and share occasionally frustration - certainly. But they take it to a whole new level on here - talking to themselves, repeating the same thing endlessly, its pretty much the standard fare.

Ignore if you can, filter if you can't, take pity when you think about them.

So - a good news RNS let's have more of them.

The recommendation that the Board will make matters, the decision of the Funds that hold vast swathes of WG is what really matters, the opinions of most people on here simply don't.

Personally I see this going for c£1 - as if that matters.

It wasn't set for a total disaster last week.....but it was. Personally I hope it does rocket and I get some of my investment back which has been all but destroyed by the incompetence of the management. However hoping and happening are two different things - as witnessed in the stock over some years now.

Not just Gilmartin but the loons that awarded him 2.2million last year and that was already a dismal failure. So now we sit with a Market Cap of 200million, debt, prize assets already disposed of that were supposed to clear debt and restore the balance sheet. Now, only when staring at disaster are they going to right size. Shocking complacent management overseeing 'material failures in controls and givernance'. Anyone else and that would be on their letter of dismissal.

Disaster. I should have got out the first time around and then the time after that and then....well at £1.32 average and 23.000 its not a great feeling. Board should have fallen on their swords. Vote them out ASAP including those on the remuneration committee. The guy got £2 miilion plus last year for presiding over this...shameful.

There is no 'seem to be' about it. They have to go - all of them. Huge turnover, piddling cost savings actions and dear me bonus for Q4 cancelled.

There should have been no bonus for at least the last 3 years as they have presided over a culture they admit is riddled with 'material identifiedweakness and failures' across ' financial cultire, governance and controls'........err in other words everything about what the board is responsible for.

I have held DWL after the MRO split and added since then. I am slightly concerned with the mention of a 30% US withholding tax. I've read the RNS but does anyone have any experience or knowledge on this they could share?

I received shares in from the MRO demerger - added to them and sold in March at a considerable loss. Bought back some from October onwards average now 66 on 6000. So it will be a small claw back but better than nothing. SP at 75 and value of deal 85p however ther RNS does mention the complications that could arise in terms of US taxes. (anyone worked out of it will apply to us small PI's?) I reckon its likely many of us won't want a USA holding so initially there will be a flurry of small sellers. If it gets to 80p I'd jump - maybe even before then.

Friend Sushi - your opinions might be taken seriously if you were a little more sparing with them. Your first post here was 2 days ago and 27 have followed. Yes good news may be coming - I for one hope so, yes there are a collection of well known none holders whose sole hobby is apparently to predict all is doom,. How about a more reasoned approach from all?

It could well be good'ish as long as sales post Xmas have held up despite the weather.

It is a good company but debt has been allowed to run away and the change in interest rates walloped it hard, the balance sheet is stronger now and management can focus on pubs not brewing so I am hopeful of a turn around.

Last AGM the two directors were standing for election Howie and O'Farrell, a fraction of eligble votes were cast and they were returned. I agree, the board needs a wake up maybe even ousting - so let's remember to vote when the time comes. If nothing else its shows the mood of PI's.

I have bought and sold VTU over quite a few years and while the fortunes of the company have varied - usually due to external market factors - overall I believe its management have done an excellent job. It has reduced massively the shares in issue, expanded the network and is a real national player. So frustrating as the SP is at this moment in time I have chosen to buy more. The Full year results will be OK but we know nothing as brilliant as a couple of years ago. The key is the second hand market and the margins there.

Yes I totally get the point that this is the only way to move things forward - but correct me if I'm wrong but it comes at a substantial cost to existing shareholders doesn't it? Pegasus - ie the Chairman's trust ends up with a further 5billion shares (locked in for 12 months) or 18% of the company while 42.5% of the project goes to Prime. So there are 2 strands to getting the 15million for Namibia. Not a de-ramp, not a criticism - just wieghing the investment case.

I watched it and he seems to know what he's talking about but having jumped in to AIM oiles in the past and seen big losses I am proceeding with caution. There were obvious positives - mainly the cash but he did state that first oil would be 'well into 2026' and that he couldn't rule out completely further equity issue - if needed. The Cameroon agreement was extended to this February and I didn't hear any comment on that - does anyone know the present state of play?

Mr Jones, you are quite right. Despite all the discontent on here and the losses currently sat on (my own included) the truth is we just don't know what's going on - and maybe we should. BUT if someone thinks, hopes even, that UJO will come good and buys in low - well good luck to them. And the price is very very low with a market cap less than 10 million for operations on both sides of the pond. Maybe DB is sitting on sensitive information and judging the right time to divulge, maybe there are delays but they are in the process of being resolved. To be clear, that isn't a defence of DB who did show woeful judgement with Beacon Energy having a punt, on a whim, and losing a chunk of other peoples money with no apology or admission. However, its the stock market and the AIM at that, you pays your money and takes your chance - you've taken yours and I do hope it serves you well.
