Maybe got the timing wrong but I've bought in today - long term NATO and allies are re-arming, Ukraine post any deal will need to be armed add in the civil business and it has work for decades yet. Cost control is another thing however.

Mainly civil work as has been said - and anyway Ukraine will need to be armed and Europe re-arm regardless.

Somewhat reluctantly I have to agree, although DB was not alone as so did I and many other PI's. The difference however is that it was my money that I took an ill considered punt with and lost. DB on the other hand is paid very very well not to do that but obviously did without a lot of due diligence. How he and the others got re-elected I can't imagine - except the apathy of shareholders.

JJ - always good that folk have eyes on the business. But with the number of outlets it is the overall direction that matters and around here the gardens are looking pretty full - food lead that is. Anyway we'll know in due course but heat can't but help sales of beer. I think its on the right track and debt reduction is also a key element. And - like you say, its just an opinion.

Totally agree - the weather is a big factor and it will be benefitting the business. The outdoor area investment post covid gives Mars a competitive edge and will now pull them in. I've held the share on and off for a lot of years during the heady days of 140p and the disasters of the 20's with current average 33p: made some then lost some along the way. The debt reduction and brewery disposal were the way to go and 50p should be fair value soon enough. But as always that's an opinion and wish not a recommendation.

Incidentally anyone else got their PTEC in an ISA with interactive investors? They've told me that I couldn't elect for sterling and that it will be received as euros and converted by them with appropriate fees charged! Don't see why they could not have passed the option to elect for sterling to their customers.

Vote against re-election of all of them - not really much of a choice given the performance --profit down and share price near collapsed.

Reality is 1 year on the reported profit is almost all interest earned on cash in bank and the investments in other people's wells. The actual trading profit from oil and gas is dismal. Net asset value unchanged and bank deposits serving only to guarantee directors salaries.

Mr Bramhill's salary alone equates to 16% of GROSS profit and 50% of net...that's way too high for an operation like this.

Why that rate of tax? Its not even that for Higher rate payers is it?

Totally agree, they wouldn't win any plain English Society awards the way these are written. OK so its a complex business and the funding arrangements likewise but some plain speaking wouldn't go amiss. IMHO
