I've sent my Proxy Form in nominating Ben and feel somewhat relieved having cast my vote. If there is a way to get beyond the disgracefull behaviour of the last lot, it gets my vote. Could be 100% wrong of course. DYOR as they say.

Me too: I dont think there are any easy answers here and, unfortnately, I can see both sides of the argument. I don't see Gary as trying to cause trouble and he appears to me to be approaching this with integrity and his own view of the situation. I base this view on limited exchanges with other members of the shareholder group. Personally my instinct is to approve the recommendation on the basis that I supported the nomination of AR & NL in the first place and that AR has the skills and experience required to get us beyond this mess. I intend to nominate him as my proxy unless I hear better arguments.

@isas: you would think so, wouldn't you? However look at how the supposed 'short squeeze' was resolved and I think you have your answer. Perhaps an approach to Mark Carney as part of his cleanup of the City? At the very least you'll get a polite stock answer like I did. If you do start an action do let us know: you'll get at least one Scouse vote.

Speaking at conferences doesnt really equate to being 'trusted advisors': I can say that from personal experience in my own industry. But if they were: I'm still not convinced that winnifrith would be given access to such detailed information directly from AR. Can you honestly see anyone giving him as-yet confidential information knowing that it would wreck their own credibility? Not me...... then again I'm just a simple Scouser.

He was nominated by one of the old BoD which doesnt get my vote. I gave my proxy to AR to use as he sees fit. My understanding is that GB holds an incredibly small sum in NEW so it's unclear to me why he is so interested.
