The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
This is the most frustrating company, it has the financial resources and presence to move forward in to new technologies and it is sitting on prehistoric technologies it needs to invest in engineers and create new products instead of sitting on its laurels - shameful leadership in this climate of change. Bet nothing changes...G
Sunak's merry gang of ultra realists have eventually worked out that charging EV's without enough power stations and charging stations just doesnt work! Listened to a presentation by a senior RR person this week, I know this market really well and they've got this sorted technically/commercially - without cutting any corners whatsoever they need the regulators to step on the gas with their resource deployment, most importantly Sunak needs to kick Great Bristish Nuclear and telll them to back the RR SMR and then infrastructure funds to back them up. This should be the Trent equivalent in nuclear for RR plc. Then there's Ultrafan which should make its mark soon. 2024 looks like a good year. G
Yes - but where is ther any hard evidence that they have the engineering minds and corporate will to take this company from the "steam age" in to the new economy - it should be heralding new products - i think the city sees this hence the downturn in the price which is substantial for a company of this nature, G
I wonder if this might herald a change in technological leadership and embracing of new thinking. This share has been in the doldrums for a long time, the City must think its a dying species....
What we all seem to forget is that shareholders and bond holders are just elements in how a company is financed, most especially a modest and relatively new one. I like it that we have more shareholders on the way in with equal skin in the game even though it dilutes my holding, the weakening of the threat from bondholders is much more valuable to me.
I do hold deep criticisms of the failure to deliver on stated goals I would like to think that from now onwards we will apply ALL of our pressure directly to the Executives to force them to make actual progress now whilst energy markets are on our side. The lack of tangible, visible achievements within stated schedules is what annoys me most and on reflection that is probably the majority view. Get on with it Executive Directors, give us a good shock for a change and do what you said you would do. G
Hi - just wondered what people's opinion was on Biden's draw down on the strategic reserve. I wondered if they may also use it to stimulate the US market to refill the released reserve and allow the gap between WT and Brent to close? Have no knowledge on the reason for the $4 difference maybe its quality, but I'm sure there are votes for his midterms by trying to drop the price by dropping his strategic reserves short term but doubt he would leave the strategic reserve out there as a risk, thus he would need to stimulate production in the USA now to re-establish his reserve later. Surely that would also help us too. Would welcome feedback! Cheers G
Hi, I'll be voting for the share re-organisation which will make the same investment less prone to day trading. Many have their opinions on the BoD, including myself, I'm only interested in how they handle 2022 from a PR point of view with respect to gas and helium in Australia and what is clear to me is that Australian citizens should do better in the extraordinarily sensitive subject of clearing any development with the local community. All the best for 2022, G
good start to the day at last - by my fag packet arithmetic that's circa $500k dollars per year extra income, I wonder what will happen at Winters 2 and the other workovers hinted at on Stanley..... maybe more RNS's in the next month.
Based upon the twitter feed this should be going up - perhaps some outfits are keeping this low so they can admit their friends at ridiculously low and below warrant conversion values which stops the big volume warrant holders exercising and getting out and leaving the MM with a big stock overhang. I'm not into such gaming usually but with volumes as low as they are this might be a viable game plan, who knows!
The concept has survived 10+ years of scrutiny and uses proven fuel and components/systems so maybe not premature! Definitely a net zero technology, unlike the fans we produce. Reactulation needs a spot in the OED, good word!
Be happy - there should be an announcement very soon on further government funding of this factory built and City/Govt funded product - and its scalable factory built AND does not have the ridiculous cost of a Hinkley Point C. I suspect RR will be more positively affected by this travel related products - a few orders for these will transform the business totally.
held back maybe - one unproven possibility - some people being admitted at low price on purpose so that MM keep their mates happy and loyal to them? Another, the MM they know there's dilution under discussion (which seems less likely at the moment in my opinion) - who knows! Whichever, I'm ready to top up soon at these levels, G
What an awful loss , he was the sane man amongst us and like you I watched out for his thoughts - Rest in Peace Sir.
