A Rights issue takes considerably more work to organise than a placing

With a placing, one can partially choose the placees

That can be very beneficial...

Folk might wish to carefully consider both points

As it's a quiet period...

Reading several of the well deserved eulogies re President Gorbachev, I am pondering posting about the time I met him...
It was only three of us in the room

I am tempted to post about it ...
partly as it might be of remote interest to some

And partly as I am pretty sure it would irritate the life out of several of the normal 'crew'!!!

So here's the deal

If anyone want sme to post about it...just tick this post

(t's not that earth shattering...
but is insightful as to the man's character)

If it gets say 20 ticks...I will put a post together...fewer than that, I will keep the story to myself

Of course we could simply await a post or more from members of the usual crew...as doubtless they will want to silence me...and explain their own vast experience levels

BRV...interesting stuff there...
I do a bit of fasting one day a week...esp if I think I am getting a bit podgy!
I go 24 hours...feel great afterwards

As to exercise...my guru was and still is after his death...
Dr Kenneth Cooper...
He wrote Aerobics...training manual for US marines...Canadian Air Force and many others

He did terrific research on effects of exercise on the heart...discovered that the heart of a very trained athlete was several times bigger than that of sedentary worker...hence beats more slowly but with bigger volume

So much so that ...when I went for my AAA scan at 65, the sister came over and showed me the images...she said that aortic artery is really tight...like a refill of ball point pen...
a 25 year old would be happy to have it...you are either an athlete or work on a building site'
Not boasting but I was chuffed...as it validates Cooper's findings
There is downside to slow heart beat though...if it becomes irregular, it would be a long while until the next blood pumping around...lack of oxygen to the brain can make folk a bit light headed at times...orcworse of course

I am going to draw the line at cold showers...
Or...
In view of gas prices I might try those too!!

Do min of 15 miles per week...started in 1975...
But my lovely wife tells me I need more exercise as I get older

I have tried ice packs and a special rollerball device...really hard

And paracetamols...

The treatments reduce it a bit then it comes back just as bad...

I am now into exquisite pain...!!

Silly really ...but pretty painful... as you well know
