Pat Matthews ran FNFC at that time.....I worked for Pat...
as did Lloyd Dorfman (who married Pat's daughter Sarah)

Both were investment banks... before such term was coined

E&P is a ridiculously tough sector from which to make real money ...

Largely due to the lack of quality of the so called 'assets'

'Assets' often devoid of the vital 'E' ...
A subject that I have discussed extensively on this very BB!

Coupled with the ' behavioural characteristics of several ' managements'

That is why I do NOT invest in the sector

Very rarely indeed does a truly exceptional opportunity comes along

People shouted at me on here when I posted that I had bought ...in volume ..at 1.5p

Truth is that the shares are far better value today than at 1.5p

it is our frequent evening drinking venue...
a few pints outside with the family and flatcoats
then a weary climb up the hill
IMO there are nowadays much better places for grub!

We walk the boys a lot at Brancaster...a route out to sea crosses the golf course
it all became pretty mental post lockdown

And how that will place the whole Irish fiscal structure under enormous duress
