Now theres something you don't see on here everyday.... you'll be happy to know I'm not gonna do the same lol but seriously, really good detective work. if they 12x each campain that's going to have a real positive on revenues
I got back to work last week and no email i'm afraid.. bit of a long story but it may not be them, as I mentioned b4 I work within a global media company but within IT. I now I class as a consultant as no longer directly work for them and at some point over the christmas break my original email addy stopped working so they may well have sent a response but I never got it
Thanks for link mate - just looking back over stuff - think posterscope or someone like them could play a role in the whole digital media stuff... will let you know if I dig up any more. sorry abt the 'hunting you down thing' but I must admit in doing so it's sparked in interest
Hi OT, my single resolution for this year is to get organised - I'm finally getting round to gathering all the research here for my reference. ( yes I know but better late then never ) I recall a link you posted about atmAds campaigns coming from posterscope - you wouldn't have the link to hand would you it's my resolution for next year to stop being lazy ;-) cheers as always
Cheers for posting the links mate.. I've set some time aside this weekend to digest - saw that trade... only a matter of time now ATB
agree mate - we should hopefully have an offical update at least some of what OT and others have uncovered. The AGM is later this month I think ( well last year it was on the 27th ) so we may start getting some updates ATB
All adds up to a very bright 2010 for all invested in this company. Happy and prosperous new year to all
For what it's worth, I have emailed transaction media asking what if any ties they have if IDG( not in those words) .. I used my work addy, which is from a global media company so may or may not improve a chance of some response.. but not holding my breath
sorry for the delayed post.. thanks very much for your last post and infact all the research that has been posted here by you and many others. i feel very confortable in my investment here and see nothing but positive in the new year. Hope you all has a good christmas and all the best for the new year
LOL, yes shame all atms do not work like that
good statement from Justin Stark, think it sums it up well.. the more I look into this I cannot see negatives. IMO apears to me that IDG are hitting that sweet spot and it's a win win for all parties. GLA ps. Thanks for the link to the edison report.. will read that with interest later
With so much activity seemingly happening in the background I have to think that the agm will contain the crucial updates and with it I would think a positive affect on the SP... IMO
Stanford added “We are not surprised with the early success since we can deliver around 20 seconds of uninterrupted viewing in an uncluttered environment. Not having to compete with multiple brands on screen is a huge advantage.” and as you suggest, thier ability to serve specific targeted ads Transaction Media offers unique access to multiple segments, particularly the hard to reach 18‐30 ‘Out and about’ group. The location of the message relative to the transaction is key. “Consumers are making purchase decisions later and later. In fact, around 70% of purchase decisions are now made in the proximity of the store. Transaction Media is well poised to take advantage of this trend.” Says Stanford. Next month, Transaction Media is planning to expand its offering to advertisers with time‐of‐day messaging and location based marketing/geo‐targeting.
Nice links OT - the PR pdf off the last link had some interesting bits of information on there. Australia’s first media company solely dedicated to the channel of ATM advertising launched in August. Transaction Media has exclusive rights to around 5500 machines in Australia, offering advertisers a highly targeted medium that can display multi screen messaging for up to 20 seconds to consumers. Transaction Media has been formed as a joint venture with Customers ATM (www.customersatm.com.au), the leading independent ATM operator in Australia with provides around 1 in 5 of all ATM's operating across Australia. These ATM’s, located in a diverse range of popular locations, are available as an advertising channel with each machine delivering strong consumer engagements. This new medium has proved exceptionally effective in the UK with advertisers such as British Airways, Nivea, Pizza Hut and McCain. Sounds little familiar LOL
Yes OT the pieces of the jigsaw do seem to be coming together and revealing quite a little GEM IMO. Thanks all for the research here, it's been tremendous
they seem to put thier money on the table too In the first four months of 2009, the Group made acquisitions or increased equity interests in advertising and media investment management in Italy, Portugal and South Africa; in information, insight & consultancy in the United Kingdom; in public relations and public affairs in Poland; in direct, internet and interactive in France and Hong Kong; in digital in the United States and in healthcare in France.
OT/HGC, I found this when digging aournd thier last agm statement For a company such as WPP, operating in some of the world’s most competitive markets, this is both a serious challenge and an inspiring opportunity. Over the next few months, our clients and prospective clients will be more than ever eager to find elegant and inventive solutions to their marketing goals; where success depends more on the compelling nature of the idea itself than on the sheer weight of money put behind it. It will undoubtedly be a time that tests the value of the marketing services industry and the relative merits of those companies who comprise it, more than at any other time in living memory.
I've been also looking into this in some detail, you definately my be on to something regarding a possible merger / Takeover ( IMO ) as some of the information I've seen points to it being a possibility. Have to move away from the computer for a bit but will post some findings later
from the links you posted on Sat to sheer, it would seem fairly conclusive that Transaction Media has been setup as a result of the JV between IDG and Customers for Aus. This coupled with the parnership with Nautilius Hyosung, who seem to already be in favour with finincial instatutions with their 'customer centric' approch. Mate you have just blown my mind with the implications of this and what it could do for IDG and that's just AUS... Roll on AGM
thanks mate, been a mad couple of days.. hope your week went well
