JohnZ - Directors of many companies are like salesmen and quite a few I have met could sell ice to the eskimos. It's all about the AIM dream. But we're no longer chasing the dream, as we've found the 170m+ tonnes of coal. We are now in the reality and mining our pot of gold. We're now in a pure profit and loss scenario linked directly to how quickly we can mine coal that we can sell, make revenue and realise a margin. That's the business model. And it's failing....and has been failing since October 2017. I hope Alistair has a colony of rabbits up his sleeve. GLA

aerial - although my continued beef is we can't get economies of scale from our mining to make a profit. And that is unfortunately playing out for us. We are now starting to accumulate debt, as well as having a CLF chained to our assets. We need some serious ramping (apologies for using that phrase) up of output in early 2020 once we're through the bad weather. There have been several RNSs this year about cash flow and another bit in this morning's. That's very worrying in my view. GLA

Rocket - I think it's all about getting some substance around balanced views. There are people ramping Edenville this morning and those, including myself, keen to keep the balance on here for a company that is desperately short of cash, under producing mining output and borrowing more cash to stay afloat. I said earlier that this morning's RNS is good, in isolation, but it masks the much bigger issues we have as a company. I've also been in many AIM shares where news has been used as a front for a placing in the background and forward selling of options. I'm not saying that is going on here, but as I get older and a little wiser my gut instinct tends to tell me about possible red flags. I'm very much like aerial and have reduced my average significantly over time but I'd personally prefer to be out at break even if I can get there, as I don't think our business model will see us through next year. aerial £100k - I think you're referring to this in the 29 Nov RNS - "In order to satisfy the Company's immediate working capital requirements, the Company has entered into an agreement with a private lender to secure a non-convertible £100,000 loan (the "Loan"). The Loan carries a fixed coupon rate of 20% per annum and must be repaid on or before 25 February 2020. Including the Loan funds, the Company currently has cash resources of approximately US$190,000. Whilst this will provide the Company with sufficient funds for its immediate needs and enable Edenville to satisfy orders from an existing customer, it does not provide sufficient working capital to enable the Project to operate at its planned capacity, nor to continue the 2020 monthly payments to Lind in cash"
I don't share your optimism if I'm honest, but I know we disagree on that anyway. I can't see us pressing on without further heavy dilution and I can also foresee that we'll be issuing shares shortly to pay off Lind. And I worry how we are going to repay £120k by 25 Feb 2020. It's really starting to not add up financially with the borrowing. GLA

Good RNS for us but AIM all over yet again - let's release some good news ahead of a potential dilutive placing. Its great we have contracts to sell 9000t per month. The problem is we neither have the funds nor the current extraction rate to get anywhere near this.

aerial - isn't that from early November? I recall reading it. The UN article on coal addiction is also interesting reading. We're potentially running out of time on two fronts - financials continue to concern me against our failing output figures - and if there is all of a sudden a shift in policy around power generation, that will also have a massive impact. I'm keen to understand where we are with Sinohydro - having sent three emails now to the company, I've had nothing back, not even an acknowledgement. That worries me too. GLA

esquimo - Diggerman's words aside, if the Edenville BoD is aware of something fundamental to both the operations and our share price that they are not telling the market then there are two points on that - why are they not telling us formally and I am sure the FCA would be interested in why that information is known but not being released. How do you know they are "apparently aware" of Diggerman's comments? GW
