aerial - it was an interesting comment larry made last week when he and I fell out about the perception of some people almost being custodians of the Edenville board. Clearly there are one or two in the background, they know who they are, who feel the need to report posts that actually might well have started a nice debate on here about future electricity production. Instead you reposted your earlier jibe at Norrab verbatim and then someone reported the post to get it removed. And there was me wondering, as you have done, why we no longer have any fruitful debates on here. It's alright some on here moaning about those, like me, who have a negative tilt on Edenville given our not insignificant paper losses that they are stopping others investing (you know my views on that), but then people targeting other posters, getting posts removed and almost constraining constructive debate actually has a similar effect, as those people simply destroy their own credibility. Perhaps coal is dead, perhaps it isn't, but one thing is for sure - even if we had the power plant on the horizon, how on earth would our current operational business model actually satisfy the demand - I bet a 300MW power station needs about 3000t of coal a day, or 90,000t a month. Happy for someone to post some factual figures on that. GW

aerial - with all due respect, nothing posted on here has any bearing on the share price. We've had that discussion several times before. The share price is on its backside because of the fundamentals of the company. GW

Gwynwin - no I don't think you're stupid at all. It's easy if you understand it, but the paperwork associated with limited companies is an absolute minefield. GW

Gwynwin - you're confusing your figures. You are looking at the aggregate value of all shares (including deferred) at the nominal value of 0.02. It has gone up from 3,414,933 to 3,416,877 (ignore the figures after the dots - that's just for accounting methods). Open the PDF document entitled "Statement of capital following an allotment of shares" on 9th Jan. On the very first page it tells you how many additional shares were allotted as part of this SH01 form - it's 9,720,000 at a price of 0.0005p - that's c£4,850. If they have issued 9.72m new shares then our aggregate capital value (of shares) goes up by 9.72m multiplied by 0.0002p, or about £1940, which it has. GW

aerial - although who is reporting them? I know the rules as well as most and I didn't see any offensive, rude, defamatory etc etc stuff. It looks like the only reason someone reported larry was his post about AST. That's a bit childish in my view. GLA

Looks like it has been reversed out. I can't see us moving up much to be honest until the "strategic options" from the trading update in December become a bit more clear. It's all about timing from HRNet now - technically they could sit and wait until post July to avoid the need to bid 180p, but I am still hopeful we get something before then. I've not been in Staff that long but I suspect there are some longer term holders sitting on a fairly heavy loss given the drop over the last year and a bit. GLA

Gwynwin - no, you're reading that wrong. You're quoting the statement of capital which is the paper value of all the shares (including deferred etc) calculated at nominal value (ours is 0.02p). The value of the allotted shares on 9th Jan is given on the first page of the SHO1 PDF (about halfway down the page on the right) - "Number allotted 97200000" and then a bit lower down "Amount paid 0.0005", which equates to about £4,850.

So, the BoD placed 9.72m shares at 0.05p which is, what, c£4,850? I don't think that meets the Class test in the AIM regs so I suspect we won't be told?

Have a look on Companies House - there was a placing of shares filed yesterday - I haven't had chance to fully digest it yet as I'm in a rather boring meeting. I think it's only for c10m shares but keen for anyone with a bit more time to comment. GW

Larry - that's an interesting comment from someone who sold out at a loss and then bought back into a company that they continue to have no faith in as an investment. Im only still here because im locked in and want to try and get back to my average, hopefully before 2050....The fact I've never once turned on you on this board makes your post doubly disappointing. Perhaps if you consider the next line of that song it might make a bit more sense, but I'm clearly wasting my time explaining it.

In all seriousness, although I also take Diggermans exact statement with a pinch of salt, you could infer a lot from the 29th November RNS around operations. Additionally I don't think the weather has been too kind to us over the last quarter of 2019 with some significant flooding in the East Africa region, so I suspect our mining output has actually been very low or could indeed be nothing. An update might be useful from the BoD given the weather and we need to hear about the financing options pdq. GLA

aerial - you must have insomnia....I don't disagree with your posts but it's all superficial stuff that may or may not come to fruition in terms of an impact on our share price. AIM used to be great in that you could buy on the rumour and sell on the news, but I'm finding that is more the case now on more established stocks. The AIM market is tired of the jam tomorrow stuff and only seems to react on definitive, solid news. With Edenville I don't think anything is really going to get us motoring except news on improved output and a real, factual move towards break even. We could have orders for millions of tons of coal - it means nothing if we can't service them. I agree there is plenty of "possible" stuff on the horizon that could impact us as a going concern, but the "facts" are we don't have a cat in a very hot place's chance of getting there on our current commercial model. Merry Xmas all and I hope 2020 brings us much better news here. GW

norrab - I don't particularly want to take sides on some of these things but the Edl board is no different to most other boards on LSE, ADVFN, II (what's left of it) etc etc. There are none so blind as those who will not see. GLA

aerial - definitely safe until February 2026, probably safe until February 2036. I think that summarises our differing views on wording!!!
