Yes I know what you mean, and any drop off point near supermarket or retail park would Need to wash the items on arrival. Then directly into the process to start generating energy.
We all see this as waste which is what it is at present, once plastic is routinely being made into fuel it turn dB into a useful commodity, all depends how much you need to process to get a kw/h of electricity, for the supermarket operators it may be a huge initial outlay and possibly a slow recovery of revenue but a hell of a positive move, and an end to the pressures they are currently under to stop using plastic, which in itself will be a costly hurdle to cross. It covers a few issues easily if a decent amount of power can be extracted, what is the by product after gasification?
