Your right MAY didn't want it to happen even though she said political and democratic ,,,words! If she did she would have had a list of countries set up willing to deal with us and structured budgets and plans for financing our agriculture and fisheries industries- with hard facts like that in place her own party and others would see there had been proper planning and prep being applied. This would have been our "backstop" if EU didn't play nice wed had a plan B and been able to act on it . That may have gained all our political parties more respect if they'd put thier heads together and came up with something like that. i struggle to take them seriously certainly a company or corporation couldn't run with management like we display in the commons every PMQ's!!!

I don't mind the referendum , but they have to do it properly and educate the voters on all the points to bear in both sides of the decision , this is what was missed in the last vote the public were totally mislead by canvassers from each party and that is in my mind a crime in itself. our country could suffer terribly leaving the eu or it could come good ( not without turmoil ) but whichever government leads they will have to learn how to make and run a country , they can't sit back and let a higher command write the rulebook as there will be no EU govern from above ,,,,just us.I don't think todays politicians can manage this let alone have experienced that style of governing?

I agree don't know enough about the markets i will sit and watch with cash , keep reading these BB's and googling stuff you guys are talking about!
I may need to sit out for quite a while though as you say the signals may be there for a drop, but doesn't seem to want to drop or crash just yet.
when there is a drop at least i'll have cash to throw in somewhere... that'll be my next question!!

Thanks for the explanation Laks , i am new to all this and just dabble (gamble ) with a few shares i like the sound of!
When you say you cash is king , do you mean keep your cash out of markets until volatility decreases? or do you mean hold positions in currency?
I did wonder if stashing some away in a fund concentrated in a different geographical area would help as a hedge. like the latin america funds or suchlike but i haven't done enough research to check they aren't a worse bet!

Noticed in the article the price of waste plastic tumbling due to the china ban, wonder if this will be positive for likes of EQT and PHE who reckon plastics will be their fuel for the creation of thier hydrogen?
