It would be good to get rid of a few planes or routes that are not profitable this week. Every bit of positive news will push the SP higher and we are not even at 50% of the year high yet...

I just checked there was a £160k buy and then a £161k sell within 30 minutes. Surely you wouldnt invest £160k to make £1k?

I would have thought that a decent uplift for a bid would be £60m-£70m as its a 20% premium to today's price. That would be a good first bid and I would be happy with that even if BA would let Virgin have it at the first bid.

You wouldnt be investing this much money would you unless you decided it was worth the risk and would get a decent return. Unless it was an airline buyer - who knows????

Everyone waiting for the first bid. Virgin declared an interest and BA Owner rumoured to be making a bid and Stobart always mentioned but I dont think they will have the cash to be honest when compared to Brandson and BA. Im seeing what the first bid is before taking any potential profit. The 1st bid will set the clock ticking for others that are currently out to join the bidding race. Virgin might make a better joint working offer so long as it gets us into profit from 2019-2020 and increases profits every year where possible then thats whats counts. Wont be long now......there will be teams at the airlines working on this bid and deciding whether they can let a competitor win it if they dont

the day it went up for sale and bought at 15p and then averaged down to 12.6p average. Wouldnt have thought it would drop to 9p but with big institutions selling due to the low mcap and shorters attacking it went as low as it did. The institutions look a bit silly now and the shorters got burnt once it bounced. flybe is re-rating to its true value and we are waiting for either the first bid to be confirmed in money terms or further restructuring news. Either way more buys then sells and 2 values in the papers that I have posted of £100m and £107m for the bid so we are only half way there now.

IAG paid £172.5m for BMI back in 2011/12, at that time BMI had losses of £130m for just 9 months of the year. £130m!!!!! They did have 56 slots at LHR although BA had to give up 14 of them.

The airline carries eight million passengers a year between 81 airports. You only need to make a few pounds per customer profit and you have got a cracking business. Easy jet make over £2 per customer. Plus we have a £1.6 m a subsidy and new routes starting March.
