Despite the fact that you already have 35 full years on your NI record the pension projection may still say that you can increase your state pension by making further NI contributions. If you have already ceased working this can be done by making a category 3 voluntary NI contribution (£800.80p per year currently). It is simple to do and if you make the calculation of how long you have to live beyond pensionable age to get that money back in increased pension payments it is actually quite short (3 years or so).
Most people bar the hard-core Gammons and ******s have realised by now that Brexit has been a colossal and very costly mistake that has solved not one of this country's ongoing structural problems and wasted both time and resources. Any fiscally sane government would have us back in the single market in a shot.
Basically Truss is absolutely desperate to get a trade deal with India and they insist this will only be taken forward if visa rules for Indian citizens are relaxed. SB opposed this move and was overruled by the Truss and Hunt and basically sacked. The code breach is the political equivalent of a beard. LOL
Labour will form the next government. Brexit is dead, a failed experiment in lunacy. The Tories are dead in the water. Suck it up and jog on down to the golf club with the rest of the gammons LOL
"Not sure why CCL price is in the doldrums." Really? You must live a very isolated life to be unaware of the problems this company is facing LOL. A recent Forbes article should give you some idea "The company is one of the most indebted players in the cruising business, with total debt standing at $34 billion as of the end of the last quarter. Rising interest rates and a slower-than-expected recovery in profitability could make it difficult for the company to pay down debt."
In terms of a Covid wave one would hope if cases picked up governments would not react in a stupid way again locking down for the umpteenth time.... No need for that now the vaccination programme is well advanced and new bivalent boosters are available (particularly for the Cruise Ship demographic). Of course you will still have the idiots who refuse to be vaccinated and I know quite a few deluded souls who still believe Covid19 is all a government conspiracy. Perhaps they should be herded onto cruise ships where they can happily infect each other, thus not bothering the rest of us. LOL
Very detailed and rational analysis, basically tells it how it is. Some on here will dislike the analysis and refuse to believe that things look so bleak. However, burying your head in the sand is rarely a very intelligent investment strategy.

"Truss will remove restrictions that holds us up." Christ almighty you really are desperate now! I am sure that doing all she can to help little old UKOG extract itself from the Doo Doo of its own making is right at the top of Loony Liz's in tray LOL
