If they are using autoclaves Bushy it is very energy intensive. I used them to make ballistic rocket fuel many years ago.

They never admitted they failed with the tailings that was my point better to accept a failure and move on you are right they didn't.

Just FYI gotreal I started life as an analytical research chemist and took products from first development right the way through to operational on a large scale. I know what success and failure is and Roan failed to do what it originally set out to do however you want to dress it up.

That doesn't mean to say they aren't trying to adapt to rescue it with the modules etc as any business should try and do. I know I had my share of failures when processing new products and we had to adapt them also when the original plan failed.

The original intention here was to process the tailings and that clearly hasn't gone to plan and now they are having to change the plan using equipment plus bolt ons they have already invested in. Nothing wrong with admitting that.

Question for you gotreal so far do you think Roan has been a success or a failure?

Charles, myself and Bushy think it has been a failure? Hopefully the bolt on modules will rescue this. That's where I believe we are and before you start telling me to sell up I think the Chrome has rescued some of the failures of Roan so that has been a good decision will be better when the margin improves as it is a bit low at the moment.

Inyoni has been good and JLP can't be blamed for the low metals price although they could have reacted quicker with the outages in SA which has historical energy issues but eventually they have improved this.

That's fine gotreal so when they process it produce the figures so we can see what they actually do and if those numbers are reached.

Been trawling through RNS and can't see any so the only people who know the grades are JLP which leaves them open to speculation that the grades are poor for the tailings process. I can't say for definite they are poor but no-one can say they aren't. The Copper figures suggest they are poor unless JLP refute it and put some actual figures out. That would suggest why Draslovka has got involved/

They reported 953 tons of copper cathode and concentrate was produced last quarter but how much was cathode and how much was concentrate as I believe concentrate sells for a higher price. Why isn't their a split and each process costed? Too vague leaves them open to too many unanswered questions. It's not hard to report this same with processed tailings so why don't they?

The financial reporting is vague at best. How many on here end up speculating what the RNS means after it comes out because it isn't clear or concise? How many have complained about it? I have never seen any grades reported where copper is concerned or have I missed them?

I haven't lied about anything. I have no gameplay. I want JLP to be successful but I am not blinkered to the company's failures. Even you must admit the company is nowhere near where it should be when they claimed Roan had hit nameplate capacity. How come they didn't maintain that? The copper production has been rubbish and consistently failed to produce the numbers they said they would. Is that a lie? Is it an unrealistic that the grades haven't been as expected?

No need to be abusive I haven't been to you and I am not defending anyone. Can you point to me in any RNS where it states tons of tailings processed to tons of copper produced. I can't see any JLP are very vague when it comes to this.

So what is the actual percentage of copper produced from the tailings does anyone actually know?

Where is the volume from the tailings they were supposed to be processing yes they have had other issues electric and water (which could have been anticipated) that has impacted on this causing shutdowns and damage to the plant but they have hardly blown the doors off when it has been running.

Not sure about that seisnav. He called the sp 2 years running and said the grades weren't right long before it was apparent they weren't.

He comes out with other stuff but that might be just to wind you and gotreal up sometimes I ignore that.

Also Jonah has put some reasonable numbers together if the process is successful. I can compare these to what JLP report for reference.

If they are different I can say Jonah got it wrong. Only kidding Jonah thanks for taking the time to do that.

I listen to both sides the extra capital spend on Roan is a bolt on he is right. He was right about the poor grades of tailings for the Roan process. He was right about the sp. Yes he was wrong about the feedstock to the modules but we don't actually know what that will eventually turn out to be until we see some numbers.

JLP communication has been shockingly bad which many have asked for improvements.

We don't know yet whether the Draslovka process will be fruitful.

Everybody gets things wrong from time to time I know I have but it doesn't mean they are wrong all the time.

So feedstock to the modules could be any where between Bushy's 0.3% and gotreal's 2.0%. Let's hope it is towards the upper end. That 0.3% might be a bit pessimistic though Bushy:)

I thought the rocks was much higher grade than the tailings.

Is the 1.5% grade guaranteed or is it variable as this will be critical to the copper output and hitting those stats.

I think that is water under the bridge now Bushy. Roan has failed this is extra capital spend to try and recover the situation. I think you mentioned it as a bolt on which it is.

Good numbers Jonah I live in hope they can hit them in the not too distant future.

Gotreal I want JLP to be successful and I hope you are right about the modules but even you in your heart of hearts must know the copper process has been a bit of a disaster so far.

I want to see numbers of rock processed and copper produced then I will believe and not before. Then I can see what the percentage of copper is actually coming out of the rock being processed.

I believed we would be producing 14k tons of copper a year 2 years ago and look where that got me.
