My plumber says he rarely does plastic installations nearly all copper at the moment. Last new building estate I looked at around about 3 months ago were all putting copper in but I won't argue I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't changing.

Copper is used in wind turbines but they are already looking at replacing it with Aluminium.

Aluminium can replace copper it has 60% of the conductivity of Copper but you just use a thicker wire and Aluminium is a lot lighter more abundant and cheaper than Copper.

Overhead cables are made from Aluminium already because they are lighter than Copper.

Their are advantages and disadvantages but it is surprising what manufactures when they want to control costs. Copper is also reusable.

Not saying Copper won't go up but be careful when you have people claiming 50k per ton.

For example I have just put central heating in a house I am renovating. I have used copper piping. I prefer copper and can afford it but if copper was 5x its current price I could use PVC or PEX piping currently cheaper than copper is now.

No just common sense goes a long way. There are many alternatives to help reduce demand.

He is right the indications are there that demand will outstrip supply it just depends by how much

There will be a tipping point for the price of copper at which point the cost of products with copper in become too expensive and consumer demand will fall off. I don't know what that price will be and neither does anyone else.

Manufacturers will then look to source cheaper alternatives to control their costs and there are cheaper alternatives out there.

I wouldn't get too carried away with an exponential rise in the copper price and that price being sustained for a lengthy period of time.

If £1.20 was the top of mount Everest we are at the bottom just putting a team of sherpas together.

No I'm not Shuvlin just that 3 billion shares at £1.20 a shares is a £3.6 billion company really? I have posted my eps expectations for the next financial year a while back so I do know the difference.

Even in 5 years I'm not seeing the kind of net profit to bring this about but you maybe right I maybe wrong. We can only wait and see.

We won't get to £1.20 Edzi we have 3 billion shares in issue certainly not in the next 5 years or more but 30-50p maybe be possible but a lot of work to be done even for that.

RNS 12th of December Edzi. Costs less than $4k/ton for the waste copper project. This is what IRH signed up for. They can process this at Sable or a third party.

What you say Edzi is fine. I always find your comments to be reasonable and balanced. If you look at my post a little further down there is a difference in cost between the two processes.

Artisan mining is less than $6k per ton but the IRH processing costs has the potential to be as low as $3.8k that is where the confusion is I believe.

Monkoyo 25k/month starting in sept 24 to be processed at Sable. I don't know the full amount sable can process/month (output capacity 16k of contained copper).

2 artisan mines signed up at 120k processing material/per year each, 10k/month each.

3 more being worked on now from last RNS so a total of 50k/month from these. That's Roan full operating capacity I believe but some could be sent to Sable. Cost of processing these under $6k/ton but options to buy majority interests of each mine at $1.5 mill max thereby lowering future costs.

The IRH modules some to be sent to Sable to be refined but if Sable becomes full then can be sent for 3rd party refining. This is where they can reduce costs down to $3.8k with economies of scale. 30% to JLP after costs.

Output will depend on Copper percentage grade around 1.5% for IRH modules and 1-3% for artisan mines. Not sure about Monkoyo grades will have another look. Also will depend on copper oxide/sulphide mix. That is how I understand it

If it is a separate resource Frogkid to be processed through the 4 modules yet to be built then it makes the stuff from the artisan mines very promising as these become a separate resource and money from the IRH deal, Sable and Roan could pay for the fast development of these.

I could be barking up the wrong tree but the Dec 12th RNS suggests this.

My take on it too Seisnav so you think a separate resource to the artisan mining as well? They have been testing this for a while it's why I think they know where the locations for the modules are and are just awaiting IRH sign off.

It also says further on in the RNS that they can build these 4 modules in 12 months once they get going.

To add further taken from Dec 12th RNS,

Jubilee secures one of the largest copper waste rock assets on surface in Zambia.

· Estimated at more than 350 million tonnes of waste rock material on surface. Early results from preliminary surface sampling indicate zones with grades higher than 1.5% copper ("Waste Rock Project").

This is what makes me think it is a different resource am I way off the radar on this?

260 million was mentioned in last RNS.

You are much more informed on the technical aspect than I as my understanding was Munkoyo was going to feed Sable and the localised mines they are signing up would feed Roan and Sable.

The waste rock project with IRH they have identified 260 milllion tonnes of waste rock and it is this they would process with the modules in conjunction with IRH. Is this a different resource or is it coming from more artisan miners? My initial understanding was it is a different resource.
